The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently released crash-test ratings for the new Mazda CX-7 SUV and a slew of other 2007 SUVs. In front- and side-impact tests, the Mazda — currently one of the most-searched vehicles on Cars.com — scored the top rating of five stars and chalked up an impressive four-star rollover rating.

The CX-7 was far from alone in the good tidings. The 2007 Honda Pilot, Hyundai Tucson, Ford Freestyle, Chrysler Pacifica, Nissan Murano, Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Highlander and Toyota RAV4 all earned identical four-star rollover and five-star front- and side-impact ratings.
