Over the weekend Volkswagen unveiled a stylized version of its upcoming Eos convertible called the Highway 1 Concept. Named after the famed California road, the Eos Highway 1 isn’t the normal futuristic concept car we’re used to seeing at major auto shows; this is basically the same Eos that will go on sale in October, but with a few special upgrades.
Most noticeable to the casual observer are the two-tone interior and large 20-inch wheels. The Highway 1 also sports a subtle spoiler off the trunk and a lowered suspension to improve handling. We’re guessing this “concept” is more of a marketing study to see if shoppers would actually consider any of these options on a future trim offering. Personally, we’d skip the wheels and go with the flashy interior.
