Respect and a good deal!

Lucas Honda was recommended to me by a friend. They were everything my friend said they would be. Not only did I get a good deal on a new car, but they treated me with respect. Something a lot of car dealers don't understand these days. I would not only recommend them but will definitely buy any cars in the future from this dealership.

Lucas Honda should be EMBARRASSED

Let me tell you my LEMON story from Lucas Honda... Sales experience was good, other than the alleged week I have to return the car - that’s 100% false and if it is true everyone including the President, Scott Boyles lied to me and they won’t let you return it no matter how much you ask. Within 24 hours the car had locked me out and shut down electronically, that’s when I found out the keys didn’t even open the car. Upon further investigation I found the oil was never changed, dust collecting under the hood shown that this truck was never inspected by a Lucas Honda tech. The touchscreen also didn’t work and the check engine light came on, all immediately after I purchased the vehicle, the remote start also didn’t work. After being refused to return my vehicle multiple times within the first week including being refused to be worked on by their techs bc “it wasn’t a Honda” I took it to their recommended Key Buick. Where I come to find out the “bumper-to-bumper” warranty (quote from Jim their finance guy) was a not anywhere close to a “bumper-to-bumper” and fraudulently sold to me as something it was not. I had to pay more out of pocket than the “bumper-to-bumper” warranty covered. Almost immediately I discovered the work wasn’t even done properly (touchscreen still didn’t work and keys didn’t work) that’s when I took it back to Lucas Honda and had a stern conversation with their service department and they agreed to handle the issues - still refusing to let me return the vehicle. Granted if I didn’t purchase the warranty they probably would’ve told me to kick rocks or screw me over in some other way. The president, Scott Boyles, after hours and multiple days of me asking to have a conversation with him, finally agreed to sit down with me and hear my concerns but I was greeted by being attacked, called a punk, and given an ultimatum about my vehicle. I now understand how this poor customer service and unwillingness to deal with the customer trickles down to all their reps. I was treated indifferently and with a double standard being that I am a young man and was purchasing my first financed truck, they saw an opportunity to take advantage. They then came to an agreement with me that they would find something “of like kind and quality” and would trade it out for the lemon truck they sold me. After two weeks of no response, not even a call to give me a heads up or anything, I decided I would finally give up with this embarrassment of a dealership, service department, and customer service based organization. Upon further inspection and getting reports the car was used as a rental and came from another dealership, NONDISCLOSURE!!! Also they should learn to put customers on hold correctly because I heard exactly how they spoke of me when the phone was down and it was not nice! Lucas Honda - stick to Honda’s and take responsibility for your actions! I see dozens of new people on a day toy basis in the greater Jacksonville area and the truck is always a great topic of discussion to relate!

Great service of our Honda Civic at Lucas Honda

Steve Cardoza is the best service writer in the world; honest, professional, knowledgeable and personable. We fully and absolutely trust Steve. Our family has been buying cars and using the service department of Lucas Honda for almost 3 decades. The Service Manager (John Keene) is great; he runs a highly skilled team of techs who always produce a superb quality of maintenance for us. Bottom line is that we would never go anywhere else to purchase or service any of our many Hondas.

New car purchased

Jim in service gave me a great deal I very much appreciate what he did for us I just wish Honda would give their customers options on stuff to suit their happiness of the car they want but I LOVE my Honda cars

Jim is great to deal with. Had the car ready and price set. No Haggling. This was a great experience and I highly recommend buying a Honda from him.

Some people still care

After arriving for my oil change appointment and the shop promptly starting on my car, I received a phone call that my father in law who was in ICU had taken an unfortunate turn for the worse. I spoke with the same gentleman that checked me in. He was at the desk closest to the front of the building if that helps. Anyway I explained the situation and told him I wasn't trying to rush the process and that I just wanted to skip the wash and any extras to get to the hospital asap. The gentleman phoned the shop immediately. He returned my paperwork as quickly as possible and went over the diagnostics with me while I was in line for the cashier. He truly showed he cared and didn't waste a second in getting me out like I so desperately needed. I just wanted to say thank you and make sure this was recognized.
