Sales was wonderful.

Sales was wonderful. Roger was great. I bought a 2023 Forrester. But that's where it ends. The service department is, as I told Subaru when I called their 800 #, disingenuous (i.e., liars), they misrepresent Subaru's recommended service schedule and I have lost confidence in this dealership. I was duped into permitting a 15K service. According to Subaru, there is no such service. It is 6, 12, 18....etc. I had 12,339 miles on the car and presented for my 12K service. I was told that since I'm due for a 15k service in less than 3K I should do it now. I was charged $364.95. They claim that you get 5 free oil changes but I was charged $58.05 for the oil, $25.16 for the filter and $1.57 for a gasket. Hardly free. I could go on and on about the xxxxxxx Assistant Service Manager. As I said, sales was great. The service department is staffed by thieves. After speaking with six fellow Subaru owners, only one was satisfied with the dealership. One is still fighting with them. One is using the dealership in Binghamton instead. Another is using the dealership in northern Jersey. Two have abandoned the Subaru brand altogether.

2024 Subaru

I researched a number of cars and decided on the Forrester. The new Forrester is quite nice. The dealership made the process easy.

Great service department

Maureen is the reason we keep coming back to this dealership for the past twenty years. (Prior name Feder?s) We are treated like family and she gives us a honest answer to any questions we may have regarding our vehicle. I would also like to note that the place is clean and consumer friendly.

Buyer beware!

My low mileage 2014 Legacy has always been dealer maintained (including NYS inspections). I was shocked to learn my car had sub-frame rust that was not repairable (this does not happen within 1 year, sorry). I was even more shocked to see that Subaru does not stand behind what they sell- their add are shear nonsense. When I inquired about what they could do for trade toward the purchase of a new Subaru, they offered a mere $250 dollars (trade value was over 0K). I will NEVER own another Subaru- sub-frame rust looks to be a common problem with Subaru, and I will NEVER own another. BUYER BEWARE

Svc Dept. Communication is Poor. Cust. Svc Poor

Purchased 2 cars here. Both with Maint. contracts. After using 4 of them they would not honor the 5th one. Called and asked if I still had one left before going all the way to dealer. Then they wanted $120 for an oil change. Their customer service was poor and they were straight up nasty. Svc manager didn't have time to talk with me. They need to work on customer service skills. Treating customer is not their strong point. They lost their number one service writer. Sales people are ok and will help but service needs a lot of improvement. I won't buy another car from them. Think twice

Great Service at dealership

Since purchasing my 2017 Subaru Outback from Johnstons Subaru it is been serviced only at Johstons. My experience has always been prositive. Friendly, knowledgable staff is a consistent feature of their service.
