My Sales experience with Chris Brugna was very positive

My Sales experience with Chris Brugna was very positive and effective. I need to say that up front as the rest of my purchase experience on a 2023 Bolt bought on Sunday, August 17, was deplorable, unprofessional, and only served to reinforce the worst stereotypes of what is wrong with the dealership experience still in 2025. The Finance "Manager" Eddie Baschlor (I think that is his name as he would not provide a business card), was rude, and seemed inconvenienced that I was questioning his demand that I pay for a new license plate when I had a plate number and reassurance from my DMV that it was a valid plate that could be transferred. No attempt to resolve, just a flat statement that instead of an approximately $85 charge to transfer, I would be obligated to spend almost $400 for a new plate that was not needed. He said, "You don't have to buy this car, that's the way it is". In other words, take a hike.... I have purchased over 50 motor vehicles in 5 states over the last 40+ years. NEVER have I had such a miserable, angry, and disrespectful treatment than that from Eddie Baschlor at Jon Hall Chevrolet Used Cars, 700 N Nova Road, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. This is only the first review I will be sharing. Finally, when dealing with Mr Baschlor, I caution all to apply "caveat emptor", BUYER BEWARE in any interaction. A truly disfavorable member of this dealership.

I bought a brand new 2025 Chevy Trax from this dealership

I bought a brand new 2025 Chevy Trax from this dealership on May 11th and they supposedly transferred my old plates to the new car. I never received my permanent registration. I only got the registration via text from the salesperson Jason on June 13th. Looking at the registration, it was issued on June 4th which means I unknowingly was driving illegally for a month. They also failed to properly report my trade-in, which caused the state to issue a Notice of Intent to Suspend and Final Order because it looked like I had an uninsured vehicle in my name. I questioned the registration and Jason's response was "I'm not sure. But you're good to go now." I’ve called and left multiple messages to speak to the General Manager and haven’t gotten a call back. Someone in customer service's only solution was that I should drive 45 minutes to come in if I can't get in touch with anyone — even though this was a problem they created. The entire situation has been frustrating, unprofessional, and completely avoidable. I’m sharing this so others know to triple-check their paperwork and registration before leaving — because once they have your sale, follow-up support is nonexistent. I still don't physically have the registration in hand, just on text. Insane.

Insulting trade in offer ($8,000 below other

Insulting trade in offer ($8,000 below other dealerships). Highest of the dealer fees $1295 and wouldn’t negotiate a dollar on price. But the real reason they lost our business is when the internet sales manager said to my wife’s face “don’t let your pride keep you from coming back to buy our car”. Hope no one else chooses to deal with this experience either.

Unfortunately, I had the worst experience with Jon Hall

Unfortunately, I had the worst experience with Jon Hall Chevrolet. They ruined my transmission replacing the clutch on my vehicle and now will not take responsibility for their actions which leaves me without a drivable car and forced to pursue legal action. Drove my car to them mid November and they determined I needed a new clutch which I was told ties into the transmission on my vehicle,, after Christmas the repair was finally done picked it up and speedometer was all over the place, the engine light came on after a few miles and when parked a large puddle of oil leaked out . Brought it back immediately and was told it wasn't due to anything they did... yet my car didn't leak, my speedometer was not jumping all over the place and my check engine light never came on before I went to them. A senior tech overhead the situation and asked if they had touched/removed the parts that were leaking in order to replace the clutch and the tech replied yes and was told it then needed to be fixed. Get a call a day or two later saying that I need to pay for a new transmission. Went in person to speak with a director and was flat out told they were not going to help make this right. I would not recommend this location to anyone else at all and would advise to seek a recommendation from friends and family for a trustworthy location for needed services. Would have given zero stars if it were possible. They should have done the right thing. I have left messages for the General Manager with no response, no wonder when visiting the BBB website Jon Hall Chevrolet is rated an F

Very satisfied with our experience.

Very satisfied with our experience. High five to Ginette!!!! We went there to have oil change in our other vehicle. Was looking at some cars while we were waiting and boom we are in a new vehicle. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Jon Hall. My recent experience was frustrating and completely unacceptable, it was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. I hope management takes customer concerns seriously and works to improve their service. If you’re considering purchasing or servicing your vehicle here, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere until they address these issues.
