Below bare minimum service.
My car rattles when I turn it on. I watched the engine shake and rattle today, two days after I picked it up from Jones Ford. I had to wait a month and a half for an appointment. Only to be told after a week of them having my car there was nothing wrong with it. I was told they ran every possible test and nothing indicated issues on their computers. They said they’d couldn’t recreate the issue and there was nothing they could do to help me. I asked the customer service rep to please try, please help me. They kept it for two more weeks. I kept called and again was told there was nothing wrong it. I drove from Jones to the gas station, turned my car off to pump the gas. Turn the key and once again my car rattled and shut off. I removed the battery cover and the top of the battery was covered in corrosion. Went to AutoZone, they ran a battery test and it indicated the battery was dead. Removed the battery for me and the entire bottom was covered in corrosion as well. But Jones Ford said they ran every test and there was nothing wrong. The air filter needed to be replaced, the coolant was low but Ford said they look and nothing was wrong with my car. Unfortunately, after all the effort I put into trying to find the issue with my car I was still unsuccessful. The engine still rattles causing the entire car to rattle as well. I will commend them on one thing, they didn’t charge me. So I appreciate that.
Poor Service Department
Old parts left under the hood . Screws missing on the engine, they put in a new battery did not clean off the area of acid around the area. Tire presser was low, engine cover was missing. They put in 6 spark plugs and wires the car just got 42,000 miles. The engine is running bad after this work was done. Had to take it back today. I am not happy. I did get a ride home by Jones Ford . This was the only good thing.
Had to schedule a door lock recall on my truck. Appointment was scheduled 3 weeks out because “we are overwhelmed.” Okay. Dropped off truck and after three days of no communication I finally was told to pick it up. I called every day and left messages with no response. At any rate, day after picking up the door locks still didn’t function correctly so I called to schedule to bring it back. Had to again schedule 3 weeks out? Okay. Dropped it off and this time asked how long. Told to expect 3-4 days for repair. Really? Asked for the “courtesy shuttle.” Was told it would be there in a minute. Two hours later still no shuttle and was told to go back a wait in the lounge. Took keys back and left. Horrible service, communication and human decency. Don’t go here!
Extremely poor, uncaring service
I had a recall appointment setup for my 17-year-old and his 2016 Mustang GT. Upon his arrival (after waiting weeks for an appointment), he was told that he would have to come back (after commuting 35 minutes one way) due to a labor shortage in their service department. I understand the world (post COVID) we live in and would have been understanding had someone reached out, prior to making the commute. However, this did not happen which is an epic failure of customer service. So did the Service Advisor take advantage of 17-year-old kid, knowing that he wasn't going to put up a fuss or get verbally upset with him, probably. Either way, extremely poor service and communication was our experience. Service your vehicle with a company that actually values your time money.
Watch your back
Had reservation for Bronco. Promised no premium over MSRP. Dealership, without warning, started adding $5000 over MSRP on all new orders. Unprofessional. Avoid this dealership.
Southern Style Car Sales Folk...Bless their heart
"A fully refundable deposit" This is what the snake oil of a sales guy at Jones Ford said to me and my wife when reserving a 22 Ford Bronco....Now Mike Kane, has selective amnesia when we ask to be refunded Mike Kane and Jones Ford gives even the worst used car dealerships and salesmen a bad name.
Service Department excellent.
Use car with no warranty cause of the age. 35 days later problem with car. Jake tried to go through recall on part but it expired. Jake talk with his boss and got me a great deal. I pay for part and they will pick up most of the labor. Great service.
DON’T buy a vehicle from this place. If you have any service issues you will be disappointed. They had our truck for 6 weeks because they couldn’t get a Ford part in. Most people can’t go without a vehicle for that long. It was horrible.
Great Service Personnel - Jake Brock
Specifically the Service Department and Jake Brock; a real professional and really cares about the customer and their vehicle. Rare to find a service department that makes you feel that your business is important to them and that they want you to return. Bravo and great job!
Great Customer Service
Thank you Jones Fors for helping me with a tire on my Dooley Truck. I was visiting from five hours away and needed air on the inside tire. I stopped by service told them what o needed and they immediately added added air. I greatly appreciate the fabulous customer service. If I lived in Charleston they would get my Ford business. Thank you!
