We am very disappointed in Mazda at this point.

We am very disappointed in Mazda at this point. I took my vehicle in for a routine maintenance service and inspection and the technician failed to torque the lug nuts on all four tires. We live about 90 miles or so from the dealership and so after the maintenance service we noticed that the wheel all of a sudden was popping when we made a sharp turn. Called Mazda and was unsuccessful in reaching the service department, left several messages but received no return call from the Mazda. I took my vehicle to a local tire shop and found that the lug nuts on all four tires had not been torqued (tighten). This was a very dangerous safety issue. Well I called Mazda service department back that same day (Monday) to make them aware of the issue and requested service to issue my vehicle had not been damaged and was safe to drive. I requested to speak with the supervisor and was advised that he was on the

Purchased a 2016 Mazda CX5 with warranty.

Purchased a 2016 Mazda CX5 with warranty. The infotainment system has sporadically glitched and continuously reboots, more often when temperatures are below 50 degrees outside. We have repeatedly complained about this issue from the beginning. Upon receiving a class action settlement notice we took the car to the dealership. They report that they cannot replicate the issue and therefore decline to do anything other than provide a quote for $1,545 to replace the CMU. The dealership refuses to do anything unless it glitches while in the shop.

Dealer response

Hi there, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand how frustrating it must be to deal with an ongoing issue like the infotainment system glitching—especially when you've made repeated efforts to have it addressed under warranty. Situations like this, particularly with intermittent problems tied to specific conditions (like temperature), can be difficult to diagnose on-site, but that doesn’t make your experience any less valid or frustrating. Regarding the class action settlement and the CMU replacement, we are required to follow specific diagnostic protocols outlined by Mazda, and unfortunately that limits what we can authorize without verifiable duplication of the issue. That said, we want to help however we can. If you'd be open to it, we’d be happy to revisit the matter with our service team and explore whether there’s a more proactive solution or assist in documenting the issue for escalation through Mazda corporate. Please feel free to email our GM, Chris Martin, at cmartin@medcentermazda.com, so we can discuss next steps more personally. We appreciate your patience and the opportunity to work toward a resolution

Great sales experience overall.

Great sales experience overall. The positive ends there. I bought the most expensive vehicle Mazda produces. I was sold on the PHEV tech and really loved my CX-70. I had three recalls in six months. I couldn't get Med Center Mazda's service center to answer the phone or return phone calls (MULTIPLE calls and MULTIPLE messages). I had to go to Huntsville to have the first two recalls taken care of. I had my first oil change due and called repeatedly to make an appointment and ask if the third recall could be handled at the same time. Same routine. No answer, no returned calls. And when I asked other people outside of service if there was a reason no one would answer, I also got no help. I brought the car in last Saturday, and that sealed the deal. No personalities whatsoever. Don't bother calling Mazda corporate. They are as useless as the dealership. I was all for Mazda jumping into the near luxury segment, but they need a dealer network that can match the quality of the car. That didn't exist at either dealership closest to me (over an hour to Med Center and almost two hours to Huntsville). I just got home with my new E-Class Mercedes. It was worth taking a few thousand dollar loss to deal with people who appreciate their customers. Never again, Mazda. And two visits to Med Center Mazda was two too many. I wouldn't wish this dealership on my worst enemy.

Dealer response

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we’re glad to hear you had a positive sales experience, we are truly sorry to learn about the frustrations you've faced with our service department and communication. Your expectations were absolutely valid—especially given the level of investment you made in your vehicle—and it's clear we fell short. Please understand that this is not the level of care or professionalism we aim to provide, and your feedback has been shared directly with our team. We know it may be too late to change your experience, but we are taking this seriously and using your comments to improve. We genuinely wish you all the best with your new vehicle and hope that future experiences with any brand bring you the service and attention every customer deserves.

Unlike my previous experiences with dealer service, Med Center Mazda is competitive with independent shops on their prices. They get the job done fast and done well!
