Greg Lair GMC is absolutely fantastic! Everyone is very helpful and kind. JP Gwinn was our salesman. He is very knowledgeable on all aspects of the vehicles. He has a wonderful personality, which made our experience so much better than just buying a car.

My wife & I purchased a New 2026 GMC Terrain Denali with 4 miles on it from Greg Lair GMC in Canyon TX On 3/25/26. On 4/13/26 my wife went to back our Terrain out of a parking spot in Amarillo only to find it had no power steering and then had to drive 8-10 miles on the back roads with no power steering just to get back to Greg Lair GMC & parked it outside the Service Entrance upon her arrival. I went in & spoke with the Service Manager about the issue and left the vehicle with him and we drove home. The following afternoon I stopped back by to talk with the Service Manager who said his folks had driven our vehicle a few times and it was driving fine and they couldn’t replicate the problem & didn’t know what had caused it. I told him I went on line & found that GMC has had ongoing steering problems with the Terrains and several other GMC vehicles for the past decade due to loose wiring / ground wires that were causing shorts and even told him where to look under the hood for specific grounding connecters that were found to have bad connections. I got a call from the Service Manager two days later just before closing time that they found & fixed the problem & we could pick it up. Upon my arrival and in talking with the Service Manager he said the cable from the battery to the electric power steering (EPS) module was loose on both ends, & they simply had to tighten the fittings on both ends of the cable & they were done. Although I don’t personally trust the Service Manager at Greg Lair GMC to be truthful, forth coming and shoot straight with me on known GMC issues relevant to our new GMC Terrain Denali in this case, I do however know from past experience that they do have some very talented mechanics, great sales staff (especially JP GWINN who has intricate knowledge of a lot of vehicles and even takes the time to talk us through the options & features on our new Terrain), along with Braden Cunningham, Blake Moore, & William Foote just to name a few, and the purchasing of our new vehicle went very well.
