2014 Mustang airbag recall
I recently took my 2014 Mustang in to John North Ford for an airbag recall. The service department was friendly and provided quick, efficient replacement work. I appreciate the Ford notifications and the great service at the Emporia John North Ford.

As a medically retired veteran I would expect better
Check your fluids after going there. Caleb was supposed to do a simple flush of fluids and when I checked they blamed it on the engine. Come to find out not only was my coolant not done properly but the guy got mad and cut my power connector to my trailer hookup to my trailer. Had other issues in the past like not doing the recalls like they were supposed to. I'll be taking it somewhere else for now on unless I'm able to get down and do it myself.

DEF heater replacement .
I have always been very pleased with the service from John North Ford. I did notice one item that I didn't like after recently having a DEF heater replaced. To replace the heater the DEF tank must be removed. This is a difficult job since the mechanic is working blind during several steps. Regardless they replaced the heater and 5 hours later I was on the road. A few days later I went to add some DEF fluid and when I removed the cap from the DEF tank, I noticed quite a bit of grit and dirt inside the fill tube and inside the cap. This really concerns me since Ford literature talks about how important it is to keep this clean to prevent immediate failure of the DEF heater/pump. The cap has to be removed in order to remove the DEF tank and to reinstall it. So it is susceptible of allowing debris during this procedure. They should stuff a clean lint free rag inside the tank neck to prevent dirt and grit from entering tank. Hopefully I won't pick up any of this grit and have to go through this repair again.
