Great experience,

Best car buying experience ever. I’m 68 and have been buying cars a long time. These people at McDonald Ford treat you great. The sales lady (Annabelle Boyes) was very nice and very knowledgeable. I will be a replete customer.

Service and Parts Department not helpful at all

I stopped in to replace a part that had a prorated warranty. I purchased the Truck new from the dealership and had a receipt for the entire truck but not one specific to the part (they do not provide individual component receipts only a receipt for the entire truck of course). I was informed the warranty is only valid with a component receipt not the Truck receipt. I tried to explain that this is absolute nonsense but they refused to budge. I guess my only recourse is to take my business elsewhere, which is unfortunate because I live in Freeland and prefer to support local businesses.

Good morning sir, My name is Derek Thomas from McDonald Ford. I am sorry to hear about your experience here. In order to get some more information I spoke with our parts department and they informed me that you had brought a battery in to get replaced under warranty. This is no problem at all but in order to file that warranty claim for you, we need something that shows the battery is covered. You did not buy the vehicle from our dealership so we could not look it up, nor did you have a receipt for the battery itself. We understand you had a receipt for the truck from the dealer you purchased it at but that is not accepted by the warranty company. Best experience ever!

I can't say enough great things about this dealership. This was our first experience with McDonald Ford. Everyone was so nice and got back with us immediately, and made the whole process smooth. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

Great Service on 2019 Ford Escape

I had purchased paint protection with my 2019 Ford Escape back in May. I brought the vehicle back in to get the protection applied in June and was very impressed with the great service. They completely cleaned the interior of the vehicle and it looked brand new when I got it back later in the day. I had worked with Chuck to purchase the vehicle and was very happy with his service, and he did just as great of a job in helping me out with getting the paint protection service done. I would highly recommend McDonald Ford!

Terrible Service Department

The service department is terrible. They did my dad’s brakes last year and sent him home without hooking up the brake calipers. He almost got in an accident on the corner of Midland Rd and Tittabawassee. Yesterday they replaced the throttle body on my F-150 and neglected to connect the air hose to it! They also simply threw my engine cover back on top and never reconnected it. These aren’t common mistakes, they are glaring examples of laziness and I am confident I would have gotten much better service from literally any other service center. I had to finish the job for them in my own garage and for my troubles, I got a free oil change. Don’t do business with these bums.

Got the car I wanted

This is the second car I have purchased from this dealership. As before everything went smoothly. They go to considerable effort to find the exact car you want. No pressure to buy something on the lot. No pressure to buy extras you don't want. Very friendly low pressure staff. A well run dealership. Pointed out rebates that I didn't know about.

Awesome

My husband and I we’re dreading to go look at some cars this place came highly recommended we walked out with what we wanted Josh our salesman answered all our questions and went above and beyond to help us out and also Chris from financing this experience was amazing thank you both for making it a positive and pleasant one we will definitely be back and will highly recommend it to all our friends

Excellent Experience

I worked with Brad Neal on a used 2016 Silverado, He sold me on himself, and then the truck. All my questions, were answered, and never felt pressured to buy. Everyone I came in contact with at the dealership were helpful and friendly. And Chris in finance handled everything for me making it smooth and simple. Very pleasant experience.
