I wanted to start out with saying this is one of the

I wanted to start out with saying this is one of the worst service providers ever. I had a new engine installed 2.25 years ago, then something happened to the engine I brought it back to them thinking it was covered. The engine is supposed to be covered by Fords 36 month warranty. I was informed that I had to pay $3900.00 to tear down the engine (plus the same amount to put it back together). After bringing it back several times plus having their shop foreman hear the issues they still refused to cover the cost for the warranty. Then I had their mech (Joe) listen to it saying yes I hear it plus the service manager. Then when I called to complain the general manager had the service advisor (Ben)-mech (Joe) & service manager all had sudden amnesia. I thought that paying almost double the price ($13,000.00) would be a better warranty. "They are nothing better than a scam". I now have it at another Ford dealership. Be very careful ask many more question even on the new vehicles. "Get it in writing" December 16 2025 response This is a great response, but clearly the other dealership has heard the same sound then acted quickly to get this fixed or replaced. The mech their heard the same sound your Mech Joe & service manager heard. Why throw me under the bus. The GM was also so disrespectful. The employees were so dishonest! I've had this there several times & then not take ownership of the clear warranty. To update this review: (10-23-2025) I found the dealership in Ankeny Dewey Ford there shop foreman heard the issues. Derrick took control gave me no problem new exactly what to expect didn't give me any xx about it. They told me that it was under warranty found the one of the cylinders was bad with a bad lifter. Dewey (Derrick) reported to Ford they replaced the engine at no cost to me. Charles Gabus you sell noting but false promises plus complete lies. Charles Gabus is nothing but a snakes oil sales!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

While we are disappointed that your experience did not meet your expectations, we do want to clarify several points in your review to ensure the situation is accurately represented. At no point did anyone on our team state that they did not hear the noise you were concerned about. Our technician and service management acknowledged the concern and followed the proper Ford warranty diagnostic process. As with all Ford warranty repairs, we are required to clearly explain the “what-if” scenarios to our customers before proceeding. In this case, Ford Motor Company requires that if an engine is torn down for inspection and NO warrantable failure is found, the manufacturer does not cover the cost of the teardown or reassembly. This policy is set by Ford, not the dealership. We explained that if a warrantable failure were found, Ford would absolutely cover the repair, including teardown and reassembly. This disclosure is standard procedure and is communicated to protect customers from unexpected expenses. We understand your frustration and respect your decision to seek a second opinion. We are glad to hear that your concern was ultimately resolved, and we sincerely wish the outcome had been different during your time with us. That said, we strongly disagree with the characterization that our employees were dishonest or disrespectful. Our team acted professionally and in accordance with Ford Motor Company’s warranty guidelines throughout the process. I stand firmly with what I wrote. Your people were dishonest about everything from start to finish. It took another dealership to respond in manner that was honest. Your people should have known from all the years doing this what the problem was. Dewey Ford mech knew exactly what the problem was & handled it like a Ford mech should. The GM also stated that I used the wrong oil as I got the approval from a Ford engineer to be able to use the oil. Disagree all you want, I would not trust these employees at all. John Richardson

The team at Charles Gabus was very professional and got me into my new truck in a little over 24 hours.even when I came from NE. Everything went smooth, Josue got the add ons installed on the truck in that time. I would buy from CG for my next vehicle.
