Do not buy from here
I looked at a 2017 Lincoln MKC on 5/12/2021 with 27K miles on it , I live a few hours away went and test drove the Lincoln noticed the brakes where bad and had a slight smell of antifreeze. I mentioned these things to the salesman Vinnie or Vince ( Never trust a salesman that tells you a story about how he instructed his friend to get a free window out of his insurance company...that should of been a red flag for his integrity right there) Since they just got it in they stated they had not had time to detail it, or put it in the shop yet for inspection. The salesman assured me these vehicles all get the same inspection you would get with a dealer that sells certified pre owned. I took the company at there word due to high reviews and received a phone call a few weeks later stating my Lincoln was ready go everything was fixed and there was no issues and it was fully inspected and detailed. So I purchased the vehicle on 5/26/2021 and drove it home. Within 2 weeks I had a service light coming on for #3 misfire on the engine.....which should of been caught before I ever purchased it by the service department. I took it in to my local shop on 6/24/2021 for repair to find out it needed a whole new engine it was smoking on start up and antifreeze levels where low I hadn't even had to have my first oil change yet the odometer at this point read 31,042. Auto Express was made aware of the situation and sluffed it off stating the manufactures warranty would cover it and to take it to the dealership.... they should of never had this vehicle on the lot to begin with and regret going against my gut and buying from them. So almost 3 weeks later I have my Lincoln back with a new motor in it no thanks to Auto Express. ( I specifically stated to the salesman I need this for long trips for work and this was going to be used as a business vehicle and needed it all ready to go on pick up). So 5 months later in 12/2021 mileage at 45032 I have to have the brakes they supposedly fixed completely replaced on front because they did a shoddy job using cheap parts, also right front ball joint needs replaced which I cannot even get replaced due to back order of the part and supply chain issues even 3 months later....I CANNOT & WOULD NOT recommend this company at all due to there lack of thoroughness on inspections and untrustworthy salesman and failure to follow up with customers. They are in a bigger hurry to move the vehicles then they are in to take care of there customers and fix the issues with the vehicles before they leave the lot. Notice they sell a lot of vehicles with factory warranties left on them that way if something goes wrong they can just send you to the dealer instead and wash there hands of it at least that is my opinion of the situation. I have talked with other people that have purchased from there and they had similar issues had to take the vehicle in to the dealer to get it fixed with months of buying a barely used vehicle most of these came out of Canada. Just a fair warning to new buyers be aware and don't be in a hurry to buy from these guys use a third party inspection before purchase you may really be thankful you did. Also they advertise as no pressure no hassle salesman because they do not work on commission which is correct but they do get bonuses based on the sales they make so don't be fooled that salesman wants to sell you whatever they can regardless to make his/her bonus.. File report with BBB got no response at all....

Don’t Trust what they tell you
I was working with a sales manager about a used car that was on their lot for over 130 days. We had agreed on a price and I was told the car needed their 150 point inspection and that would take a week. I told the sales manager I would not put down a deposit as I wanted them to complete their review first. The sales manager agreed and said to call in a week and if another offer was received he would let me know. I called on the day I was told to call and learned they had sold the car two days earlier. I never received a call from the dealership about the new offer. Be very careful when dealing with this dealership because they are shady.

Bad Out of State Car Buying Experience
I would not buy from them again if I could not see the vehicle in person. I was an out of state buyer and did not drive the truck before buying. I asked the sales person to test drive the truck for me and I was told that he did and the truck was in very good condition. I asked him specifically if the transmission had any issues while driving like jerking, slipping, or hard shifting and he said that there are no problems with the transmission. My truck was delivered (over 600 miles away) and within 30 seconds of me driving the truck I noticed transmission problems (slipping, jerking, hard shifting). They must have noticed this when they had the truck, its noticeable right away. The sales person told me to take it to the GMC dealership and get it checked out. GMC thinks it’s the transmission oil which is backordered and I have been driving my truck now with an awful transmission for over a month and no one really knows when the oil will be in stock. And who knows if the oil will fix the issues. Texted the sales person that I had been texting throughout the whole buying process and never got an response back. I guess they made their sale. Would not recommend buying from them if you can’t test drive the vehicle.

Amazing experience
Hands down the best buying experience we have ever had. Travis, TJ and Curt are amazing. The truck we initially pick had an issue. TJ and Curt made everything right. Facilities are amazingly clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Anyone looking for a great quality vehicle should go to Auto Express in Lafayette, Indiana

Misrepresentation
Made special trip to look at a 35k Wrangler Sahara. The first part of their description reads: "Priced below KBB Fair Purchase Price! Non-Smoker, ......" Opened door of vehicle and immediately smell heavy smoke odor. Could see obvious burn hole in passenger seat. They specifically noted a non-smoker which was completly false. The 2020 MY vehicle has sticker claiming warranty. Unfortunately, the vehicle was imported from Canada which voids the manufacturer's warranty. The import details are not included in the vehicle description. My intention was to purchase this vehicle that day and was extremely disappointed at the direct misrepresentation of smoke/burn issue and the lack of information of an imported vehicle. No need to ever return to this business. Reinforces the derogatory stereotype of used car dealer.

I've bought many cars here over the last 10 years.
I've bought 8 cars here between my wife and I over the last 10 years. I cannot stress enough how great this place is to work with. They will take care of you and truly care that you are a satisfied customer. We worked with Brian S. when buying my wife's Subaru and he was extremely helpful. I worked with Vincent when buying my Wrangler and he was also great to work with and made the buying process extremely quick. Jeremy Thinnes followed up with me on a minor issue and got it resolved extremely quickly. I can't stress enough how persistent he was in making sure I was a satisfied customer. This is why I keep returning to this place. They've grown a lot since my first vehicle from them in 2009, but the focus remains on customer service. They have a huge selection of high quality vehicles. There is a reason that they are the 2nd biggest private dealer in Indiana (only to CarMax).

Horrible Customer Service
Start off by saying that I called ahead to make sure a truck was still available, told them I was on my way to look at it. I drove over 80 miles and hour and a half to get there. Talked to a salesman they had me wait 20 min before they came to me to tell me that the truck will not start. I went and looked at it and I was ready to buy it. He told me that they would get it fixed and said as soon as it is fixed they would call me. I waited several days and no calls.... I called them and they tell me it was sold and not even have the courtesy to tell me it was gone. On top of it I had quit truck searching because that was the truck I was looking for. Don’t waste your time with these guys.

Great place great deals!
Very easy and fast, got a 2015 chrysler 200 with 6500 miles for 13999. Was very happy with the deal and even purchased a 100k mile warranty. Was able to come in with everything i needed and drive out the same day with a new car! Very happy and thanks Bill Ahler and Auto Express-

I walked in and told the salesman I was interested in buying. He took a copy of my drivers license and handed me a license plate to be able to test drive what ever I wanted. It would have been nice to have a salesman walk with me and tell me the options on the various cars. I asked him where a few different cars were that I seen online and his response was "they are either out front or out back"....so I was on my own to find a specific car. OOOOKKKKK well wow, so out of hundreds of cars and I had no direction. I walked around for awhile, looked inside a few and drove a few. Several of the cars I looked in were dirty, I did not even drive because they had not been cleaned up. I had a few questions for my salesman about payment amounts and he said I had to fill out an application prior to proceeding. I thought this was weird , I was pre-approved by my own bank, but I was trying to stay within my budget amount. Before I say to much more, lets just say I won't recommend this place to anyone. Very frustrating. If I could return the car I would, Where is the Customer Service these days?
