Valedictorians new car- 4 trips still not repaired properly.

4 trips so far for Brake Master cylinder, and leaking side windows, nothing too important, still need to return again for passenger window. NEW 2014 Kia Forte, 2dr, manual trans. 1st visit - nice but had a difficult time understanding the problems. 2nd visit-Master cylinder parts came in went for installation. Results -lost a half day of income drove 80+ miles round trip only to be told after an couple hours wait that they would have to reassemble the car they did not "GET" a master cylinder. good time to check. Next after another week, call to check on the part status and D" Kia can not find any record of the service, part re-order etc. Finally they get it together, do the repairs and now the D'Kia repaired passenger window has traveled beyond the upper limit ruined the new seal and the service tech says they will replace the seal. What about the over travel? and track dislocation or damage because of the over travel? service dates Sept 2015, Oct 2015,

Not happy with customer service during purchase

I've had my new Soul about 7 months and so far am happy with it. However, the day of purchase was a nightmare. The trade-in was way low-balled so I was ready to walk out - then all of a sudden they could give me $2,000 more for the trade-in and lowered the vehicle price a few hundred. This brought the monthly payment into the range I wanted so they got me approved for financing. Jay, the salesman, said they could deliver the car in about an hour so I waited. Two hours later - still waiting. Some unknown employee told me I should have it very soon - that they were just putting gas in it and this was the last thing before delivery. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Four hours later I'm still waiting. They gave me a voucher for a meal at a nice restaurant but still no car and no idea when it would be delivered. I said I'd come back the next day and they got busy fast. They decided to review all of my financing paperwork with me so when the car was ready all I had to do was leave. So we reviewed the paperwork only to find they had dropped my trade value by $1,000. Their explanation? "We'll lose money if we give you the extra $1,000." I was so tired and p.o.'d at that point that I just signed the paperwork because my monthly payment was still in the range I wanted. I asked who financed me and they said they didn't have that information in front of them but that I would get billing info from the lender. So I wait another 45 minutes or so and then start getting really super angry. I'm tired, I'm hungry (way past lunch at this point and I'm diabetic) so I start making some serious complaints. All of a sudden, Jay is out in front with my car and said he'd be out in "just a couple of minutes" to deliver the car to me. It was a freezing cold day and I waited about another 15 minutes. No Jay. I just left and still don't know the full functions of my car. Finally, it was getting close to my first payment date and I had received no billing information from any lender. So I caledl Destination Kia and spent another hour while they researched this and gave me the number. Then the lender couldn't help me because I didn't have an account number (because no one had sent me any info - it's Kia who was the lender). Finally, after another couple of hours, we got it all straightened out and I paid the bill over the phone because it was due in just a couple of days and I didn't want to be late with my first payment. On the 10th of the next month Kia calls me and asks when I'm going to pay last month's payment. Told them I had. They wanted a confirmation number which no one had given me. Now I'm really angry because I was not going to double pay them. I found the credit on my checking account and had to have my bank fax all that info to them. They said they would call when they got it. I never got a call - called them and they said they had it. That month I got a bill saying zero dollars due and a separate envelope with a refund of the first payment. I called and asked them what this was about and they said I didn't owe a payment that month; they didn't know why I had been refunded the money but said my account showed $0.00 due. I waited an entire month to get the bill the following month - it just showed I owed the monthly payment so I paid it and deposited the check in my account. About a week later I got a notice from my bank that Kia had stopped payment on that check and my bank charged me $10.00 for this. Kia never notified me that they were doing this - last I heard they had no idea why I had gotten this check but it was mine and I owed them no money. Since that time there has been no issues with the lender either. So at this point, I am happy with my car but wanted to warn people about day of purchase and make sure you get the lender information that day - don't let them put you off. I don't know if I would ever go back there; it depends on future service/warranty interactions.

Destination Kia should be your Destination!

I had begun thinking it was time for the repalcement of my current vehicle. The Kia brand was recommended by a family member and I figured I would stop by and check them out as I cannot stand the other HUGE dealer in our area. I walked around the lot a little bit to check out the cars and the one I was recommended (Kia Rio) and then when approaching the showroom for more information Matt greeted me as I approached and when I entered the showroom Curtis said he would be happy to help me. He asked me if he jot down some information? We went over what I needed and wanted in a car and to see if he had something that would meet my needs. Instead of the Kia Rio I had been advised to check out, he thought a Kia Forte LX would be more suitable to my needs. Curtis was spot on, it had the power and the gas milage I was looking for with enough standard features to make me satisified with my purchase all while keeping it within my budget. We made a deal that night, I was given a very fair price for the vehicle I was trading in and within two days I picked up my new car.The delivery process was great as well, it was swift and painless and he gladly showed me features of my new car, sync'ed my cell phone to the bluetooth, and I was on my way.

Worked with these folks for FIVE cars

and had no problems - EXCELLENT customer service, attention to detail and overall, an excellent company to work with. Comfortable and not pressured experience

My Optima SXL's lease was up in October and I decided to start looking. The moment I got onto the lot I was browsing the inventory. In my past experience in another dealership, I felt like a little duckling being eyed by a bunch of hawks. However I felt at ease... Then a rep stepped in just about the right time to ask if I have any questions. I told him my lease is coming up and I would like to look at some options. He listened and showed me a couple of models. Test drove two cars and I was just ok about them. Told him I need to check out some others I have in mind and will return the next week. He was extremely patient and after a week I went back with more questions and he answered them all to my satisfaction. He was friendly and extremely patient with everything. Did not try to sale me anything I did not ask for or need. I felt no pressure at all. I would absolutely recommend this dealership and if anyone out there want the same non-pressured experience and have the agent be on your side to get you exactly what fits you, you will want to ask for Peter Karian, at Destination Kia. I am really happy I stopped by and have Peter helped me choose the right vehicle!!

Great shopping experience from beginning to end!!

Our Destination Kia experience started with our salesman, Matt Van Gelder, who met us at the door. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about his products., After finding out just what we were looking for in a vehicle, we took 2 models out for a test drive. He was patient and took a lot of time explaining all the features and never hurried us. After finally selecting one car, we then had a tour of the facility and impressive service area. All-in-all our first experience with Destination Kia was a positive one, including all the financial paperwork and a very patient business manager. We would absolutely recommend Destination Kia to anyone who is looking to buy a car. Kudos to Matt Van Gelder, who is an asset to your business!!. Another person who we met while there was Pete Karian, who is also an asset.

Non-pressured shopping experience

This is my 3rd time shopping for a new car in the last 10 years. I leased my last car with another Kia dealership and was not sure where or how I would return my leased car. And I called Destination Kia and they welcomed me with open arms. I arrived at the lot on the day I felt like going and was happy not to feel like a little duckling in the pack of hungry vultures. Just at the right moment, Peter Karian came over and asked if I had any questions. He then listened to my situation and happily assisted me with some options. We test drove a couple of other models but I wasn't 100% happy with them. So I told him I'll want to look around at other cars and he patiently said ok. I went back a week later feeling I might give Kia another chance and he helped answered all the questions I had to my satisfaction. Then we test drove another model car and I fell in love with it. Because it was on a Friday, he and his crew helped me get all the paper works done and ready for me to pick up on Sunday. I am extremely satisfied and happy to go home with this new lease. I just hope the inspection doesn't make me change my mind because I thought we would have inspected the car before I switch to the new vehicle and that I wouldn't be surprised by an unknown bill...... Otherwise, I would definitely recommend seeing Peter if you are looking for a non-pressured experience and to get the best vehicle that fits your needs and personality.

THE MOST STAND UP SALES PERSON I'VE DEALT WITH....EVER!!!

I came to destination Kia to service my 2009 Kia Rio, and while I was waiting, I was looking at some of the vehicles for sale on the lot. A salesman named Peter Karian approached me, but approached me with respect and I didn't get the sense that he was the stereotypical salesman ready to only try to sell you a car. I ended up having about a 40 minute conversation with this young man...I had absolutely no intention of buying anything, but after our conversation, Peter Karian gave me his card, and let me know if I had any questions to come get him. After cruising the lot, a vehicle caught my eye and I went and got Peter. Peter promised me that he'd do everything he could to get me a great deal, and we finally did make a great deal. There was a couple of issues that needed to be addressed, and Peter went out of his way to arrange the logistics for me to get a ride to where I had to go while my car was being worked on. On top of that, when my car was done, it was pretty dusty from cars driving the dirt lot and it had made my car look like it was in a sandstorm. Peter told me he'd make sure the service guys would give it a quick wash for me (as they always do when my car is in for service), but the service wash bay was so backed up...that Peter took it upon himself to wash my car himself, in over 90 degree heat, wearing all black dress clothes. I couldn't believe that this unbelievable salesman, went the extra 100 miles for me!!! I was so impressed, and it made me feel like a king. Destination Kia is a gorgeous, state of the art facility, and if all the sales staff was as much of a CLASS ACT as Mr. Peter Karian,.....WHY WOULD YOU GO ANYWHERE ELSE PEOPLE? I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU SEE MR. PETER KARIAN WHEN YOU DO GO...THANKS PETER! YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!
