    We went to DSF on a Saturday morning early to have our Edge serviced and to help a friend find a new car. I didn't pay much attention to the waiting room as I was outside. When I came in and looked I knew it would be a while since there were quite a few ahead of us. After speaking to our service writer, Rick, and the one I deal with all the time, Jarrod, I knew they were short staffed due to illness. Not a problem, it happens in business. We were still taken care of in a timely manner and due to the interaction of the service writers with the customers no one seemed to be upset and found many making friends during the wait. Our friend did buy a car by the way and is thrilled.

    The staff were professional, courteous and honest about how long the service would take to complete. To my surprise, however, they finished my oil change 45 minutes sooner than anticipated. I used to take my Focus to another Ford dealership, but I think I've been converted. I plan on getting my next oil change at Dick Smith Ford.

    I took my Explorer in for an oil change and was then told I needed a new battery. Really?! The car is 2 years old and has 46K miles on it and I need a new battery! YEAH RIGHT!!! Three days later I took it to a local auto parts store to have the battery checked and was told "it's fine". I am so thankful a Ford battery can fix itself (sarcasm)! I have no complaints about the oil change but don't try to sell me something I don't need.
