Top Notch Experience

Banister, and Jean Castel are top notch. This was the best and most thorough car purchase, I have ever made. I am a native of the area but, I currently reside in Northern Virginia. I was looking at purchasing two new cars for my daughters. I wanted to provide an upgrade for one of them who was driving a basic Nissan Versa. I went back to the dealership in my area to make this new purchase and was not pleased with the service from the car salesman or the dealership. I had purchased a brand new Versa with this dealership two years prior. I was not happy with that purchase but, I decided since I was purchasing two cars this time they would roll out the red carpet for me. To my disappointment, they did not. So, I decided to look around I saw the prices and deals at Banister. I had planned to be in the area the next day so, I called to get some information on two new cars for my daughters. My sales person was Jean Castel. I told him what my price range was and the must have details for the vehicles, I wanted to purchase. He told me he would look and find the cars I requested. I told him, if he could make it happen I would be in the next day to make the purchase. Jean, kept his word. He did everything, I asked and more. We started with the Versa and he convinced me to upgrade the cars to Sentra's. The finance manager Aaron Swan also, was great! I felt really good during and after this purchase. My daughters were with me too! They love their new cars. Thanks, Banister, Jean and Arron for helping me surprise my daughters with these cars. Thank God these are the last two and now I can get them out of my car. They have their own. Thanks again for excellent service. If, I need another car. I will have no problem driving three hours to make another purchase.

After 3 cars, Banister lost a customer for life

Our Nissan Pathfinder was recalled for brake work with two months left on our lease. We dropped the car off at Banister of Norfolk for the work and picked it up a few days later. The next morning, when my wife was driving our two kids to school, the brakes failed. Repeat: THE BRAKES FAILED. The day after Bannister of Norfolk “fixed” them. IN A RECALL. Thankfully, my wife and kids were on a secondary road, and no one was physically hurt. The car was towed back to Banister, where it sat until the end of its lease. The service team never fixed or even diagnosed the problem. Even worse: They never acknowledged their gross negligence. In fact, the only time they communicated with us was when we reached out to them. This is customer service? We had planned to buy the vehicle outright at the end of the lease, but my wife decided she didn’t want to drive it again—even if it was fixed. We asked Banister if we could walk away from the lease. They made our final monthly payment but refused to pay the end-of-lease balance, which was in excess of $1,000, despite us being thousands of miles under our allowance--not to mention not even having possession of the vehicle to address any cosmetic issues. Sure, the fee probably would have been reduced—or even waived—if we bought or leased another Nissan, but who would want to after this experience? We called and emailed dozens of times, but no one was willing to help. The dealer passed the buck to “corporate,” and corporate passed it to Nissan Finance. This was our third vehicle bought or purchased from Banister, and it will obviously be our last. We have already upgraded to a Honda. If you were the dealer in this situation, wouldn’t you write off the $1,000 just to make this situation right? I my an appointment to come a d look at cars with my son. The Dealership Was very neat and clean.the staff was very helpful and knowledgable. I gave my sales person Clayton my budget and he found us s car right away. The process was simple.

My experience at Banister Nissan was amazing! My sales person was Clayton Porter and he really amazing at what he does! I received a great deal on a first car at only 19 years old ! Im definitely going to refer all my friends! If anybody wanna car they should go to Clayton he gets the job done!!
