Both had been working there as sales and general manager respectively when the dealership was forced to close amid a tightening automotive industry finance and credit environment. In reviving the dealership nearly 45 former Southview Chevrolet employees who had lost their jobs were brought back on board.     I bought a new Malibu from these guys in 2012. In 2015 I had a issue when car was still under warranty and I was charged for the repair! Just recently... I had an issue with the power steering and called for an appt. told them I think this is a possible recall on the steering system. I saw on website steering and electrical system was recalled on some of these models. After I took it in the tech tried to charge me for a diagnostic test. I told him I was not told I would be charged for this and I'm not paying. When I asked to see the mgr. he didn't charge me but told me to leave and never come back! He was very rude. I will never buy another car new or used from them again! They clearly don't care about their customers. I contacted the internet team about my complaint and they said they forwarded my concerns to the appropriate person, I didn't hear back from anyone about this poor customer service. They have the worst customer service in their service dept. than any place I experienced.

    I would be weary of Mauer Chevrolet if I were you - they clearly don't care about their customers - just want $$$. Bought a Chevy Captiva in August with... 50,000 miles on it. Now, 6 months later, transmission is blown at 55,000. Of course I called, and I don't have a warranty anymore which I understand but was told the manager would call back. Have I heard anything? NOPE. Take your money elsewhere!

    I notified the internet person I was coming to look at the used vehicle that was on Cars.com. When I got there the car wasn't even there, it was at the... remote detail shop about 20 miles away so I had to wait about 2 hours for it to be finished and driven back to Mauer Chevy. When the car arrived it was different than the one they posted on line. It had a different color convertible top and a different color interior. I did finally purchase the vehicle and drove it home. I examined the rear tires and they looked a little worn so I took it to a tire shop and they told me it had 4/32 of tread remaining. Maybe that is legal but i think it should have been pointed out to me and should have been replaced.( I guess buyer beware, probably my fault) Other wise the people at the dealership were pleasant to work with.
