Review is based on what I believe are deceptive
Review is based on what I believe are deceptive advertising and unfair sales practices. I found a vehicle listed by the dealer on Cars.com and on their own website for $19,900. After test-driving the vehicle, I was presented with a purchase price of nearly $24,000. When I asked why the price was different from the online listing, I was told the base price of $19,900 was only valid if I purchased additional products, including: - A crystal fusion paint protection package - An extended warranty These were never disclosed in the listing. When I asked to have them removed, the dealership reduced the added costs, but still insisted the online price was only valid with those add-ons. Additionally, they informed me that the listed price was only available if I used their in-house financing, and that if I chose to use my own bank or credit union, the price would increase. This was not disclosed in the listing and was only brought up after the test drive. I believe this constitutes a bait-and-switch scheme, a violation of fair advertising laws, and possibly a violation of Texas Deceptive Trade Practices statutes. I have filled a complaint on Better Business Bureau® (BBB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) against the company, requesting the dealership be investigated for deceptive pricing practices, be held accountable for violating advertising standards and that steps be taken to ensure this type of misleading conduct does not continue. I am also leaving reviews on other public platforms (Google, etc.) to warn other consumers about this experience.

Hands down the best experience my wife and I have ever had buying a car anywhere. Jake is incredible, friendly, knowledgeable, unlike other dealerships or sales agents that make you feel pressurized in buying a car by using aggressive sales tactics, Jake just offered facts about anything we asked and made it a pleasurable experience. Jake sold us our daughters 1st car and we will be back to see him for our sons car soon and for as long as we will be needing vehicles he will no doubt have all of our return business. So disappointing.
So disappointing. After purchasing an untold number of vehicles from the Coverts across almost all of their dealerships and brands, often with nothing more than a few phone calls, I recommended Covert Buick GMC to my daughter when she wanted to purchase an Acadia. She contacted the dealership and negotiated with the salesman. After a bit of back and forth, they agreed on a price that satisfied both. Because the dealership was closing for the evening, the salesman texted her a copy of the purchase order and they made arrangements to pick up the new vehicle the next morning. That next morning the salesman called and notified her that they had changed their mind on the price of her trade-in, and wanted her to pay an additional $2,000. So much for the Covert family difference. Honor and integrity mean nothing here anymore, and I for one, will never purchase another vehicle from any of the Covert stores. Shame on you Covert Buick GMC.
