Miranda McDermott was very helpful.

Miranda McDermott was very helpful. I brought my 2022 f350 in for an exploded sunroof and she did everything in her powers to have Ford take care of the issue. She set me up with Kim at the loaner car area who was just as awsome. I will travel here any day. Brighton ford is about a mile from my shop and I will continue to travel to O'Meara for all my truck needs.

First, not sure how this place has the ratings it does.

First, not sure how this place has the ratings it does. It’s certainly not representative of what this place is like. The staff of Omeara ford are the epitome of all the negative stereotypes associated with used car salesmen. I read something written by a former car salesman and thought it exemplified this place perfectly. “it’s the structure of the entire manufacturer-dealer-buyer relationship and economics that either a) attract the lizard people or b) turn nice people into lizards To have a job at a dealer and to “succeed” aka make money, you have to xxxx over the customer, you have to do it knowingly, and you have to do it with a smile on your face The only people who succeed at dealer were already sycophants, or are deliberately okay with lying and scamming to make more money Anyone who goes into a dealer job with ethics, and decides to keep those ethics, gets chewed up and spit out, or gets relegated and kept to the lowest rungs of the organization, and never makes much money So just keep that in mind any time you go to the dealer for anything. Whether it’s a new purchase, to sell, for repairs, etc. It’s all structured and designed to fleece you. The interactions are garbage because the humans you’re interacting with are incentivized to fleece you. It’s how the business is set up. They don’t have a choice. They fleece you or they fail. They are pawns. I don’t say this to engender sympathy for the employees, but rather to explain why they are facsimiles of real people. They are financially motivated to be that way, and they have no motivation to do a good job at any step of the process that does not directly make them money. Every moment spent helping a customer in some way that’s not closing a sale or selling work done, is a moment wasted That’s why they all blow xxx at the small stuff like titles and paperwork and just remembering who they told what car was available and all the basic customer service stuff”. Bottom line: don’t buy anything from Omera ford unless you’re looking for a painfully difficult and unpleasant buying experience. The people who work here genuinely suck xxx.

was contacted by 2 different people via text prior to my visit, which seemed nice. However upon arrival I found out that one was in the internet sales only section. The other, I was told would be with me shortly, following a brief restroom break on my arrival (I drove 100 miles to get there). After waiting for 3/4 hour I was told that the second person wasn't available, they were too busy. Granted this was too be a low value sale of a used 2009 Honda Pilot so... After an hour I was taken out to look at the car, but was then informed that the junior guy didn't have the keys. The vehicle looked in good shape, so I wanted a drive. I asked that they find the keys and the kid said he'd go find them. I walked around the lot patiently for 15 or 20 minutes then went back in to the office. I was told that they were trying to find the keys with the service department, but were turning up empty. I walked around the lobby for another 15 minutes looking at classic cars and photos. I approached the sales guys again and was told that they lost the keys and were trying to find them with the person that showed it last 3 days prior. I was told that they would either find them or have it re-keyed by Thursday (this was on a Monday). A week and a half later, I have heard nothing. I was prepared to make a cash deal on a car right then and I wasn't important enough to warrant the time of who I originally spoke, they lost the keys for several days, and I was never contacted after even though I drove 2 1/2 hours and 100 miles from the mountains to try and make a deal. xxxx happens, but I'm not impressed.

Not a great experience.

Not a great experience. First, as I live an hour away from the dealership, I started a "chat" online when I had a second at work. The gal I was chatting with could not give me a straight answer as to whether the vehicle we were interested in was still available or not. That should have been my first clue. After a call to the facility, Orlando did answer my question, and Rachel answered an email inquiry. My daughter and I arrived and test drove the vehicle. After arriving, we were told Orlando and Rachel were unavailble and Leo helped us. We felt it was a decent vehicle and wanted to make an offer. I read online we could negotiate, and due to the age of the vehicle we wanted to negotiate. Leo said they could not go lower on the price. Long story short, O'Meara wouldn't negotiate price on a 2008 car, wanted to charge us an outrageous interest rate (21%) and my credit is great!! And the monthly payment was still $50-70/month more than what we said our limit was. The one great thing about the trip was that I showed my daughter how to walk away from a vehicle and a dealer that is not willing to work with you! Next day went to another dealer, found a car 6 years newer, way more bells and whistles, same price, 9% interest rate, monthly payments within my daughter's range! We will not consider this dealership for future vehicles.
