I am a repeat client having bought three cars from WI
I am a repeat client having bought three cars from WI Simonsen. Having been a Palisades Survivor, I drove over 65 miles to buy a second 2023 Mercedes EQS 450 from the dealer. This one for me smells of weed smoke. They didn't effectively clean it nor did they disclose said flaw. I spent so much time trying to get out of my old car that it wasn't until the papers were signed and my plates were installed that I realized the problem. My salesman was out of the country at the time and when he got back, I asked for his help and his sole response was "you got a great deal on the car" Respectfully, my wife's car had less miles, better wheels and fresh tires. I reach out again to let them know the issue was still bothering me. They don't care and are unwilling to do anything about it. Now, I am talking to a lemon law lawyer. How sad because I love the car. I've spent $1,350 trying to mitigate the smell while dealing with my destroyed home and other issues. I am glad some private equity people get to fly on another, bigger jet but since they asked someone who is a publisher - I will give them the 1-star review that they've earned. I will buy my next car elsewhere. 3x wasn't enough for them, I guess.

All the staff were friendly n customer oriented.
All the staff were friendly n customer oriented. I just wish I had a better idea of the actual cost out the door days before the day I agreed to the purchase. They offered to towed by car back home which was close to 170 miles so I can drive my newly purchased car myself.

Sam was the best!
Sam was the best! Not pushy, friendly, easy to work with and made me feel at ease! He even brought a car up from Calabasas for me to rest drive.

I asked Derrick Franklin in the service department to
I asked Derrick Franklin in the service department to take good care of my son when he brought in our CLA250 for a check engine light. Instead, he was handed a repair estimate that was higher than the value of the car. The first line item: thermostat replacement -- quoted at $6,100. To put this in perspective: The part costs about $250. Labor should be 2-3 hours. Coolant about $50. Three independent mechanics all quoted me between $1,000 - $1,500. I left Derrick a voicemail at 1:15pm Friday. He never returned my call. On Saturday, I called again and spoke with the service manager on duty, Kyle Weins. He looked at the estimate and told me the parts department had accidentally "fat-fingered" the coolant at $3,200. He even sent me the screenshot. But when I looked at it, I saw the parts department had entered only 1 gallon. If it truly were a fat-finger error, I would expect to see something like 100 gallons. Kyle admitted it was a manual entry. Translation: someone manually typed in $3,200 for coolant. Even the least experienced parts clerk should not make this kind of "mistake." And here's the kicker: even after removing the bogus $3,200 charge, the estimate was still $3,000 -- triple what's reasonable. Here's the rest of the estimate: Engine mounts, $2,000 Replace sway bar links: $700 Oil change: $370 Fuel induction flush $400 (I don't even know what this is!) A/C Evap core clean and cabin filter: $377 I put all this into ChatGPT, who said that independent shops would charge around half the price. This felt less like an honest mistake and more like an attempt to take advantage of someone young and inexperienced who walked in alone. W.I. Simonson messed with the wrong guy. On Monday, I'm contacting Consumer Affairs.California's Department of Consumer Affairs. They have a bureau specifically for things like this. It's called the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.
