Our lease was up at the end of May on our RAV4.

Our lease was up at the end of May on our RAV4. We are a Toyota family after our son survived a horrible multiple roll over accident in 2015 in our 2001 Highlander. We went looking to buy a car and we were interested in the Toyota Corolla Cross. Sales Consultant Adrian Mendoza met us on the lot. From the time we met him until our purchase was complete Adrian was no pressure, honest, and went above and beyond with the sale. The Cross was not available and he had another employee that owned one on the lot. He was able to show us the car. We were impressed with what the car offered and began an online purchase with him. We were interested in a Hybrid but they were not available in CA at that time. Adrian kept us informed the whole way. When there was a delay with the Cross we had ordered he shared with us that the Hybrid was now available. Adrian worked with us and we are now proud owners of a Toyota Cross AWD Hybrid.

I’ve been shopping for a hybrid for months.

I’ve been shopping for a hybrid for months. My 2002 Highlander has 248k miles and is still running good but I want a Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid! Checked with 4 dealers and finally Norm Reeves. They said there’s one coming in early Aug. I placed deposit early July. So, they called me this week and I just got the car July 26th! Less than a month. Excellent staff. Thank you Arvind and Toyota team. No hassle, no stress. Love it! 😍

My experience in buying a car from them couldn't have

My experience in buying a car from them couldn't have been better from start to finish. "My team: Arthur (Used Car Buyer), Alex (Sales associate I worked with), Andre (finance/closing), and Hector (Parts Manager) were professional at all times. They answered my questions in depth with an understanding and care for what I was asking and worked with my wants and needs to get me into the right car at the price I was comfortable with. At no time was I pushed to buy more than I wanted and, in fact, was given options that were a better value for me than I had known about. I went into Norm Reeves to 'kick the tires' only but their attitudes and my comfortability with the process meant that I ended up buying the perfect car for me that same day. Besides the wonderful people I met at Norm Reeves, what was also very impressive was the large selections of both new and used Toyotas in-stock so I was able to test drive multiple cars and see them side by side. Alex was extremely patient with me for several hours helping me make the right decision.

January 2023 Bought a vehicle at this dealership 7 years

January 2023 Bought a vehicle at this dealership 7 years ago, came back and bought another vehicle for my son. Due to Damion Knapp’s salesmanship and due diligence, I was able purchase a vehicle that was well needed and fit perfectly for my son. Damions knowledge and professionalism help guide me in making the right decision. Thank you.

Consumer response

BRAVO ZULU…..😎

Listed price is not the actual price

They list a good price but when you go to purchase you'll find out they are charging you thousands extra for bogus add-ons that were not listed in the ad and that are really of no value. They tried to charge me $2,000 for a "security system." Buyer beware

If I could give Zero Stars I would.

If I could give Zero Stars I would. Chis Knickerbocker didn't show up, got another salesperson who gave me incorrect information. The customer service here is awful, no one takes accountability. Waited four hours after test drive and was told I was approved, had signed an agreement then was transferred to the finance department where it was obvious none of the employees knew how to do their jobs. The 'manager' reneged on the sale and attempted to push me into a new truck for over $10k more, with outrageous monthly payments. In hindsight I'm glad I walked out after telling them to their faces how unprofessional bait-and-switch tactics are, because basic research revealed all of the later model Tacomas they sell still have a ridiculous two piece drive shaft that causes a distinct shudder on the road. It's a known manufacturing defect with no repair remedy except customizing the U-joints, which still doesn't totally resolve the issue. I have a 98 Camry that still runs and a 91 1/2 ton Pickup with the 22RE engine the company is famous for...They should not have discontinued those trucks. Toyota has gone down the tubes as a company and this dealer in particular tells outright lies, wastes customers whole day as if our time wasn't valuable, and treats customers like garbage in an already xx market. Go to Carvana instead... Don't get ripped off or jerked around by franchise dealers.

Consistently an awful experience.

Consistently an awful experience. Even the most routine of visits is a minimum four hour experience. The service people are terrible communicators and you spend hours waiting with no context and no service. I dread every time I have to come here. Having an appointment is useless. I don’t know how a service can be run so poorly by such a big business/brand. This isn’t a one-time thing. I’ve been to this dealer over a half dozen times and each time is an awful experience from the service itself to the people and the communication. I don’t know how Toyota allows this.

What a lying deceiving dealership!

What a lying deceiving dealership! Started off with an inquiry if a new vehicle was available, with explicate instructions NOT TO CALL email only. And of course they called I told them not to call AGAIN email only please. 10min. later Louis Faigbor called AGAIN! But his English was terrible so I am assuming he did not understand. So I emailed the dealership and explained again, I was enquiring about a new vehicle and did not want calls. Finally Louis fiagbor emailed me and told me “yes the vehicle is here on the lot and available for sale” Drove 2hrs. to Norm Reeves in San Diego, Louis Fiagbor assisted me, the Vehicle was NOT there and he tried to sell me a “used” vehicle instead. I entertained the idea until the test dive when he asked for my license and $100 test drive fee! WHAT? AND the vehicle was already overpriced by other parties by 4.5k. In addition I was told there as a $3500 dealership mark up due to supply and demand issues. Really? I was denied talking to a manager or the GM. Two weeks later Abdul Fawad contacts me and states “we now have your vehicle on the lot and ready for you to pick up”. I called and of course he was not in, I talked to the sales manager and he advised me he had no new vehicles on the lot and he does not know where Abdul cold have told me that and were only taking deposits for vehicles. Sales has always been deceitful, but this is outrageous. I even found out that NO deposits are taken from “guests” outside a 25 mile radius. I really hope Toyota sees this dealership for what it does and the scams, deceit, and if you ask me theft from potential customers. Went to another dealership, had vehicles on the lot for sale, no bs all up front, no mark up, no “extra” mark ups, no test drive fees. Norm Reeves is black listed and will get nothing but negative reviews and no referrals.

Than Hua in the parts department is a Five Stars guy. He went out of his way to ensure that I was getting the proper part. And probably saved me hours of frustration. There were two options that showed up on his computer. I went out to check which one was correct. After a bit more online research, he realized that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference with the hood open. Without me asking he came out to my car, crawled underneath it and determined which part I needed. Without his initiative I probably would have been looking for the answer for hours online. Thank you Tony!
