Disappointing.

Disappointing. The car was not ready for sale. They knew I was coming to look at it and didn't even bother to wash it. It even had bird droppings on it! It had a lot of body issues include a side swipe, detached and cracked bumper fascia and rashes wheels. Wasn't even worth a closer look. No chance I'd buy a car from an outfit that cared so little about the quality of their product.

I bought a used RAV4 prime at this dealer.

I bought a used RAV4 prime at this dealer. I have to say the salesman Alex Boisisso Dhadja was helpful, easy to work with, and did not unduly pressure me to buy additional unnecessary packages like the DARCARS Assurance package. If there was one downside, it is that I spent a long time waiting for the finance person to do the paperwork, both when I wanted to put down a deposit and when I went back to title the car. When I got to see the finance person, he was very efficient and easy to work with as well - I am sorry not to know his name. I looked at previous reviews of 355 Toyota before buying which complained mainly about problems with having to finance a car - I paid for the car in cash, so I did not have any experience with that aspect.

Service for 2017 Rav4 was excellent & efficient, thanks

Service for 2017 Rav4 was excellent & efficient, thanks to Kevin Colindres! I was waiting for the car & Kevin kept me in the loop with the mechanic's findings. Kevin was very courteous & professional at all times & explained in detail some of the findings I didn't understand. Very please with the outcome & would refer friends and family to Darcars355Toyotta!

My Toyota Hybrid Camry was at 355 Darcars dealership for

My Toyota Hybrid Camry was at 355 Darcars dealership for over 8 weeks and I have never experienced such poor communication and misdiagnoses. For example, they first said my entire wire hamper needed to be replaced. However, it turned out there was nothing wrong with the wire hamper – there was a hole in the engine! Then they said that the hole must have been caused by my not ever changing the oil (I am sure that comment was made because I am a woman) – yet, I had proof that I changed the oil exactly according to Toyota’s recommendations. However, despite my Camry being within the 5-year warranty period and even their mechanic admitting he didn’t know what caused it, they said it was NOT covered by the warranty. So we had no choice but to agree to pay for them to put in a used engine. After the used engine was put in, the same exact cylinder misfired (which caused the hole) so they had to admit it was NOT my fault but rather the computer system was faulty and it was covered by the warrantee. During the 8+ weeks my car was there, I called them once a week to get an update – which I think is very reasonable. I would leave a message for either the Service Manager or the Customer Service Representative and yet it was rare to get a call back. At least 4 times, I resorted to physically showing up at the dealership just so I could get an update on my car. I will never return to Darcars 355 for ANYTHING.

Hi Shelly, I know our Service Director reached out to you via phone today and left a voicemail -- would you mind returning our call when you have a moment? Thank you!

I do not recommend this place

I purchased my 2022 Toyota Sienna Hybrid XSE AWD from them. They were the last one to work on it for the Scheduled Maintenance. I didn't realized until recently that their Technician didn't properly re-installed the engine cover from under the vehicle and there's also a missing cover/parts. Eventually, a piece started hanging and got caught on speed bumps. I then made an appointment the next day, the service rep at the desk was trying to charge me to get it replaced when it's their "negligence". I'm never buying/bringing my vehicle to this place ever again.

Sloppy Work Done Here

I took my RAV4 Prime in for routine 30,000 mile servicing. I mentioned to the service advisor that the intermediate windshield wiper mode was not working, and that it might be related to having the windshield replaced several weeks earlier. I was told that the diagnostic fee would be $125. I expressed doubt to the service advisor that my payment of $125 would solve the problem. The advisor was so cocksure about the capabilities of the service technicians and said "we'll figure this out and the diagnostic fee will go towards the repair." 2 hours later, the advisor reported "we couldn't fix it. I recommend replacing the whole system for $500." Of course I declined. On the way home, the plastic cover for the windshield wiper sensor fell and was dangling by the wires. I had to return to get it reinstalled properly. Moreover, I contacted the windshield installer and they scheduled me a "warranty appointment" and indicated that this wiper problem is covered by warranty. I wish that the service advisor had acted like an honorable professional and recommended trying the auto glass installer first, before taking my $125 and before offering me false competence and confidence and before wasting my time with having to return to remediate the incompetence of the technician. I strongly suspect that they WANTED to do the quick $500 installation. I had always liked 355 Toyota and been a customer there for many years.

Hello Mr. Harris, I know you spoke with our Service Director Jason and came to an understanding. We appreciate your time and look forward to assisting you!

I went to there 3/20/2023 to have my break pads replaced.

I went to there 3/20/2023 to have my break pads replaced. Front person said my last oil change over there suggested that front pads needed to be replaced. I told him that I want to replace all, front and rear ones. He didn't say no, actually say nothing. I thought he will do my way. And then he asked me that I need to do fluid service, I said no, since I did add the new stuff there couple days ago and everything looks fine. He gave me estimate $670 and didn't told me what services I got and what costs for each one. I asked him why replace the breaks so expensive now, he said that it is the price now: he didn't say it only replace two front one and added fluid work, which costs about $250. I thought that it maybe the price now for replace four pads. Then he printed the sheets to let me sign here and sigh there, I didn't looked at the sheet one line by one line then and signed it. Today I just took a look at the receipt and found rear pads have not been replaced, which I wanted, and fluid service was did, which I did want and cost about $250. Actually he never told me the price for that service. I call him today and he just say it was communication problem. And rear ones need to be checked next service. I am almost 80 with heart problem and I went to there (I used to live there ) from Baltimore and just want to replace all pads for safety. But not as I want. Actually if the rear pads had been replaced then, even the fluid serviced had been added, which would cost $1000, I would do that. Do you want 355 to server you like this way?

Honest mistake or deliberate attempt to destroy?

This is by far the worst experience I've had from a mechanical service dealership. I went there to have an oil leak checked and for an oil change. I specifically instructed to put no more than 5.7 quarts (not 6 quarts) and I heard the service advisor also repeat this to the technician when the technician was showing me a leak in the transmission breather and according to him it was because of overfill from the last transmission fluid change. When it was done and I checked the oil level on the dipstick, it was overfilled and the service advisor called the technician. I was already upset and I showed it to technician because he's insisting that he only put 5.7 quarts plus oil in the filter. I told him that oil level should only be on the maximum level. He said ok I'm going to drain the excess oil and he said it with an angry tone and drove away my van. He came out with my van and told me he dumped the oil and replaced it with 5.7 quarts of new oil. When I checked the oil level, it was still over the maximum level. I wanted to get out of that place because I was already there for almost 3 hours for an oil change. I told the technician I was just going to suck the excess oil out when I get home. So I pumped it out from the dipstick hole and shockingly found it was overfilled 1.1 liter to be exact. I would like to think that this was an honest mistake but that was unacceptable. If this happened to a person who doesn't know anything about cars (like my wife), the engine would have been seriously damaged because of the aerated and foamy oil caused by the crankshaft spinning and touching the oil which would make the oil lose its function to lubricate. It will also add pressure inside the engine and would find an escape to various seals and gaskets. It's been 5 days already and I couldn't stop thinking if this was an honest mistake or the technician didn't like that I confronted him and did this with malicious intent. The service manager was very nice to give me a free oil change next time but honestly, I lost my confidence and trust with the service of this dealership.

Darcars 355 toyota of Rockville is the worst place to buy

Darcars 355 toyota of Rockville is the worst place to buy a car!!! I had to take my business somewhere else because I did not experience the customer service everyone raves about on here. Lack of care and professional behavior is what I experienced. Two mad workers; a salesman I think I overhear someone say his name was Oscar and the young lady by the offices, I was told by a salesman say she is Marsaya, were arguing for a lengthy time over intimate and personal problems. I waited and wait…. and waited…… for them to finish yelling at each other. I was not once paid attention to or even asked if there was anything I needed. It’s a dealership, come on now!!! As soon as I was approaching the young lady with my tags and titles question she gave me a look with attitude. I thought that was ridiculous and left. The conflict of interest in this dealership is the last thing any customer should notice and(or) experience. NOT ONE customer should be able to overhear and know what the argument is about because of how loud both of them were being. No one else was doing anything about them arguing loudly in the middle of the dealership. I WILL NOT be recommending this dealership to my colleagues, family or friends. The unprofessionalism I saw was inconsiderate, discomforting and disappointing!!!! The plan was to buy my husband the 2022 toyota tundra outside of the dealership for two reasons. One. the good reviews here and from colleagues, family and friends. Two. my husband wanted that specific 2022 toyota tundra. It was going to be his Father’s Day gift. The nonsense is ridiculous!!!! The only good service I got was from the salesman who told me who to take my question of tags and title to.
