Had vehicle inspected, was told it passed, except needed
Had vehicle inspected, was told it passed, except needed tires. They said to just bring the car back, no appointment needed, after getting new tires, and they would put a sticker on. Soooo, I brought the car back, expecting someone to be qualified enough to verify that the tires were brand new, and apply the new inspection sticker. I waited an hour in their waiting area, got impatient, and went to check on the status of the “Walk-In, no appointment necessary” new tire confirmation for the new Inspection Sticker. There was my key, sitting on the desk, apparently waiting for me to magically surmise that it was ready. If you’re unable to verify that the tires are new without putting the vehicle on a lift, and there isn’t a dedicated lift, and technician, for said verification, then it only makes sense to require an appointment… Unless I’m the only one who dislikes waiting over an hour for a “Walk in verification” of brand new tires. Whoever made this policy should probably be transferred to a less responsible position, where they won’t negatively impact Customer Experience… That is if Customer satisfaction matters to you. This was completely unacceptable, and avoidable with proper foresight. I don’t recommend that you trust their “Walk in” appointment and demand an actual appointment so that you have a more realistic expectation of what your waiting time will be. Seriously pathetic. Update: Still haven’t heard back concerning this review, which speaks volumes about their “Customer Service”, but my wife just pointed out the damage done by their “Service Technician” when removing the old Inspection Sticker. Obviously I was too annoyed to notice after the extremely disappointing experience I had, but I’ll keep you updated on whether they make any attempt to resolve this issue. As things get more expensive these days, I encourage you to consider my own experience with Rowe Hyundai Auburn before agreeing to do business with them with your hard earned money.

My wife went in the first time and specifically said to
My wife went in the first time and specifically said to put the truck on the diagnostic tool and if the truck needed a starter to replace it. She was told, it only needed a new battery and only charged us half on the diagnostic. She had to return a different day because there wasn't a battery in stock. The day she returned, they didn't order it so she had to wait while they run to NAPA to get one. The next week, the truck wouldn't start again. My wife calls to set up an appointment to get a starter put in. This time I go in for the appointment. I was at the dealership at 1130 for a 130 appointment. They brought the truck in before 1 and at 150 it was sitting outside. At 250 they come to tell me they put it on the diagnostic and it needs a starter. I told them when I had checked in that it needed a starter. They are saying no one told them it needed a starter. Now they say we have to wait for another date and use more of our time, pay our gas and who knows how much more money!!

Horrible experience.
Horrible experience. I was set to trade in my 2023 lease on a 2025 lease. Sales Manager, Leif, appeared as my best friend with a low-key tactic. It came down to their throwing in a $500 roof rack after I had put new tires ($1,000) on my trade-in. Denied. My salesperson told him I was going to walk out the door. Denied!!! Leif didn't even make eye contact, nor did he even try to negotiate with me, he just let me walk. I walked right to Rowe Westbrook, who gladly threw in the roof rack! I called General Manager, Mike Jeffers, at Auburn to inform him of this treatment. He was apologetic, but had no answer for me. I'll never deal with this dealership again.

service dept is awful.
service dept is awful. they didnt tighten the oil drain plug after my complimentary oil change. it slowly vibrated out over the course of a couple weeks and this morning i got out to my car and theres a puddle of oil under it. oil plug only had a quarter turn left before it wouldve fallen out completely. i tightened the plug and had to add 3 quarts before it showed on the dipstick. i got EXTREMELY lucky that it happened the way it did. it couldve easily destroyed the engine if the plug fell out while driving on the highway. wouldve been a complete nightmare to get them to warranty that even though its 100% their fault. also they are very unprofessional in the waiting room of the service department. they talk xxxx about customers and say hateful homophobic things in front of customers. dont ever buy a car here if you want to be taken care of.

Bought my truck from another Ford dealer out of state.
Bought my truck from another Ford dealer out of state. After an 8 hour trip home, notice some drips under the front. Other dealer recommended taking it to a local Ford dealer. Rowe took me in, got it diagnosed, parts ordered, got me back in and repaired in no time! Also Arranged payment from the other dealer!

I had to get an inspection sticker and this dealership
I had to get an inspection sticker and this dealership called to schedule one given that we have had any/all work done here in the past two years. They said my tinted windows measured 31 instead of the legal limit of 35. Who knew? So, they told me to bring it to an auto body shop to have it tested and get a "certificate" if it passed. Funny thing was, this same place inspected the same car last year and never said a word about the tint. We bought it brand new in a different state. And, the auto body place said it was 33 and there is a margin of 2, so I got the darn certificate. I go back to the dealership and have to wait for a technician to be available because the two clerks didn't like the way I came in and handed them the "certificate" and complained about having to waste $45 when clearly their equipment is not working properly. Thus, the manager comes out to give me proof of the law and says that since he is the new Mgr, things are done by the book now. HUH? Last year, I guess not so much. When I ask why I wasn't told I had to bring the certificate, he says it is my vehicle and should know the laws. WOW. I'll never go back there again- EVER. Nor will I buy a HYUNDAI.

Hello cmacknz - We understand how you feel with regard to your windshield tint and the decision made by the service manager. We are required to follow the State of Maine Motor Vehicle Inspection rules and regulations. There is nothing wrong with the equipment that we use to test the window tint. We are not willing to risk our State of Maine Motor Vehicle Inspection License for tint that is borderline acceptable. We understand that we have lost your business and there is nothing we can do to change your feelings. We wish you all the best moving forward.
Interesting response. In the future, let your customers know they need a "certificate" and that last year you were NOT "following the ST of ME MV Inspection rules and regulations"
