very pleasant experience. greeted warmly by salesman, Ora Curry, who showed me around, answered all my questions, and allowed me to decide whether I wanted to pursue purchasing a Subaru. Came back with my husband and Ora was there to welcome us and guide us along without any pressure. When the decision was made to purchase a Subaru at this dealership, our salesman - again Ora, worked with us to make a deal we were comfortable with and to help us weigh all options about trading in our car. After our purchase, we were given a thorough explanation of all features of our new car, were encouraged to call our salesman at any time if we had further questions, and we left feeling very satisfied and appreciated as customers. A very fine experience.

New purchase simplified
I requested quotes from five different dealers. All but Michell's sent back e-mails professing to be my new best friend and providing detailed, but irelevant biographies. Michell's sent a quote. When I was ready to purchase, they gave me the same price. When I showed up to complete the purchase, the price of the car was the same as the quote. It took less than an hour to complete the paperwork. They didn't try to sell me a lot of extras. By far, the easiest and less stressful car buying experience I have ever had. They went above and beyond to accommodate me in my model and color choices, and they did a great job in finding an excellent financing rate.

Whether you realized it or not, you've just exemplified the VERY reason why we do business the way we do. MercM Class & dealership vs. Subaru Mitchell
I have had Mercedes for 6 years. A year ago I bought my first Subaru from Mitchell Subaru. It has been wonderful. By the one year mark with my both of my Mercedes, I had to be towed once with one and twice with the second one, had to have new brakes, new tires... It was costly and not reliable. My Subaru Forester has been in only for routine maintenance, it has been wonderful. The service area and people of Mitchel certsinly make the experience as comfortable as possible and they keep their word of getting you in and out fast! By the way I have only been driving my Forester for 10 months, it has over 40,000 miles and it drives great in the snow and in any conditions!

Please promise us, Pinky, that you'll keep us posted on how the "long term ownership" of the Forester stands up for you. Particularly with the number of miles you log per year (wow!), it's a true road test that we don't often get to see our Subaru put through -- though we have no doubt it will excel in the challenge!
I wanted to buy a new car....
I was insulted by the value they awarded for my trade-in, and they never returned my registration or my insurance card. They managed to get the new car registered and insured with the right information, but never returned the original documents. Not sure the motive, but annoying when you're giving a dealership retail money for anything. They shaved nothing from the price. Offered a third of actual value for my trade-in, and absconded away with the paperwork.

The Greatest Dealership Around
We have been dealing with Mitchell Subaru since 1988 with purchase and service on eight Subarus over that time period. The buying process is easy and the service is excellent. We have always gotten a "great deal" when purchasing and are treated like family when taking cars in for service. We have never felt like we overpaid for anything - in fact, Vinny & Ogden in service have saved us money by recommending alternatives to high price work. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH MITCHELL SUBARU!!!

30k tune up
Overall, the experience was great. The only thing I'd mention is that when you're quoted a price, ask then to break it down line by line. When I had them so that, they realized a redundancy which, if overlooked, would have resulted in an over charge of about $135.

Came in for service and inspection
I live in Bristol and this is the nearest Subaru service group so I decided to give Mitchell a try. Great experience! They were honest and the cost was reasonable. I have a newer car but love my old 1998 legacy station wagon. The brakes on my other car are quick to respond so I thought my trusty wagon brakes were worn out. Lawrence Ganezer had them checked and the report said they were okay. Many dealers would have said I needed new brakes, I know from experience with other things how true this can be. Everything else was checked out and minor things were done as I waited in the office, saving me a return trip. I will certainly return for service to Mitchell.
