New Subaru Outback
Bought a brand new Subaru Outback recently and could not be happier. The sales people were professional, knowledgeable, kind and courteous. They helped me find the exact car I was looking for with all the bells and whistles you could imagine. I love my new Subaru and I definitely will be shopping at Holmgren again!

Attempted to make appointments for two of our Subaru’s. They said they would call us back to set that up. Never called us back so we tried again with no answer. How much business are you losing? We went to another dealership instead and the process was flawless.
Best Sales Experience
Mike M restored my faith in Subaru after I defected from the last dealer where I bought my first Outback. He spent a lot of time patiently explaining newfangled awesome features on the new Outback to a baby boomer. No pressure at all, no spiel. Just frank answers. I will be back,and so will my Subaru-owning friends! I'm really pleased (and that's saying something because I am picky). The dealership is impeccably clean and laid out very well. The entire vibe is warmth and zero pressure.

After visiting six Subaru dealerships in Southeastern CT, having numerous conversations with sales reps and taking test drive after test drive, my husband and I returned to Holmgren to purchase my 2019 Impreza. The team at Holmgren went above and beyond to help us get the exact car I wanted. Manny Filindarakus talked us through various options without any pressure whatsoever and responded promptly to texts and phone calls regarding our additional questions. Fred Gordon discussed additional features and weighed the pros and cons of adding them...again, with no pressure. Keith Ney helped us choose the best warranty package for our needs (not the most expensive!) and also provided us with an easy, straightforward paperwork process. And Annette Demarco jumped in with her personal experience of connecting the phone to the integrated CarApp so that I was able to use this feature immediately, without an additional trip North Franklin. I came in to trade my 2016 wrx for a 2019 wrx and it was the fastest and most polite experience without any hassle or complaint and I got a better price than what I was going to even ask for,so yes i would highly recommend Holmgren Subaru to any one who is looking to get into a used or new car 10 out of 10
bait & switch
watch out for the dirty air and/or cabin filter ripoff. They keep old dirty ones to show you. Then they charge you for them and never change it because it never needed replacing.
I was warned about this dealership and didn't listen. Salesman was unprofessional and extremely pushy. Bought a car and had problems with it the next day. When I called and explained the problem, they said couldn't do anything to fix the problem because the sale was complete. I wish I never bought a car from them. A lot of dishonest people working there and are focused on only selling cars and nothing else. Don't be fooled when they are trying to sell you a car and are nice and assure you they will take care of any problems. I should have listened to the people that warned me this dealership are a bunch of crooks. Now I am out a lot of money to fix my car. Don't go to this dealership!
Friendly and succinct!
I came across a car online that I was interested in so emailed about it. Staff got back to me quickly and followed up on all my questions. Never purchased as life got too hectic; staff curtailed contact which was appreciated.
Tried to purchase another car from Holmgren-
Purchased a car approximately 6 months ago from Holmgren and negotiated a great deal. Went back to purchase another car from them today and it was a totally different experience. Salesman would not return calls- should have been my first clue. I did my homework and went to other dealerships to compare prices. I made 1 more trip to Holmgren to see if they could match prices which were $600 dollars apart and their conveyance fee was $100 more as well. Salesman was rude and very short and kept on saying that ? what we went through last time? they could not match the price. Not sure what he meant by that comment but it was repeated at least 4 times in our two visits. Holmgren is the one who agreed to the deal last time- so I guess they don?t like it when the customer is informed. Needless to say I will be purchasing the car elsewhere. It?s too bad because we will be in the market for two more cars in the next 3 years- but I will not going back to Holmgren.
Sorry that you felt this way. Like your first experience we are always very straightforward and transparent with our sale pricing. I apologize that we could not sell the vehicle for what you were offering but we always want a customer to have a pleasant experience.
Good buying experience
Our sales person,Jesus, was very easy to deal with. There was no pressure to buy the used vehicle we decided to purchase. He also made sure the items missing from the vehicle were located and given to us.
