From the time I walked into the showroom up to happily driving away in my wonderful car. John demonstrated excellent service and a wealth of knowledge regarding the Mazda offerings. He patiently and gently guided me to exactly where I hoped to arrive; a proud owner of a 2025 CX-5. John is an asset you, the dealership and a model of what the car buying experience should be!

Today we received notice that our tag has been cancelled
Today we received notice that our tag has been cancelled by the DMV because they dealer never transferred it. It turns out that they misspelled names on our contracts and needed to make changes. They tried to blame us for them putting my husband's name on some paper work incorrectly. They said that they have been trying to reach us but that is absolutely not true. We had no voicemails, no phone calls, no texts... nothing. This is an absolute lie. So now we have a car we cannot drive again because they failed to complete the transfer of the tag. I asked for a name or manager or parent company to escalate the situation to and the general manager refused to provide that information and hung up on me. She has been very rude the entire time and has continued to not acknowledge any wrong doing by the dealership.

RUN from Mazda on Independence boulevard!
RUN from Mazda on Independence boulevard! On December 17th I signed a leasing agreement for a brand new carbon edition CX-5 I made a down payment of $2,000 which was supposed to be taken off the MSRP. I originally was there for a CX50 turbo edition but the payments were going to be in excess of $700 for a used vehicle so the salesman swayed me to look at a newer vehicle but it didn't have a turbo but had all the other features I wanted... so we talked it over he was going to take $2,000 off MSRP which would have put me around the payment I wanted. I signed all the documentation, went home and the next day I was supposed to pick up the vehicle. I gather the paperwork looked over the lease agreement and noticed they did not take $2,000 off MSRP. I told them I wanted to cancel the lease agreement and get a refund of my down payment the GSM Hannah refused stating that's not something that could be done. I was on the phone with Mazda (corporation) through most of our conversation and they let me know several times the individual Mazda dealership has the only authorization to request the cancellation of a lease agreement. I have called Mazda corporation several times to confirm this information and they have flat out told me Hannah is not telling the truth. I've have spent numerous hours trying to work through this issue and being lied to on a consistent basis very untrustworthy with unscrupulous business practices. She has threatened to add a repo to my credit also stating we(independence Mazda) will not be liable for the property that your leaving at the dealership. I refuse to take possession of a car that I do not want. Don't go to Mazda on Independence! After this heated conversation, I walked out to my car she followed me berating me stating "I was being very irresponsible because the salesman (Devontae) has children..... No your finance manager is being very unresponsible because he did not honor the deal the salesman and I agree to. The finance manager and the general sales manager will smile in your face while lying to you. The Independent Mazda has to cancel it themselves Hannah Mave is giving me the runaround, there's nothing that you could do for me after you lied to me. I do not want to do business with you. I'm paying MSRP they didn't even offer me the internet price discount of $1,000 and they didn't even take my $2,000 off the MSRP at all If they would have offered me anything off MSRP I could have got another turbo for the same price and they wouldn't have lost any money. If I was you I would run to a different Mazda immediately just skip the deplorable experience so hopefully your holidays will be enjoyable. They deserve negative stars.

About 2 years ago I bought a new car from Joe Maus Mazda
About 2 years ago I bought a new car from Joe Maus Mazda in Charlotte, NC. I was talked into additional crap that I really didn’t need, they just did not stop and kept going. Almost 2 years later I decided to pay off my car because I want nothing to do with Mazda again. Joe Maus lied to me and is unable to provide me with my bill of sales (which is all digital, you will not receive any physical paperwork from them at all). When I called them they replied very rudely and hung up on me. They gave me incorrect info about the added crap they had me purchase. There is no way they didn’t know that they practically lied to me. This will my last Mazda because of Joe Maus. The worst car dealership in SC and NC. Please go somewhere else.
