Thrifty Car Sales - Reisterstown

I started searching dealerships 3 months ago for a used Black, Jeep Patriot, 4x4 with low miles. I've test drove several but each had a reason that kept me from buying. I have used Thrifty car rental services several times before and have always been very pleased with those experiences but I never knew that they sold cars as well. I showed up to the lot, test drove the 2016 Jeep Patriot and signed on the dotted lines an hour later. I am very pleased with my Jeep and this was the easiest vehicle purchase that I have experienced. I recently purchased a vehicle for my daughter last month so I've dealt with my share of shady and decent car salesman/dealerships, lately. Thrifty was the best!

Robert and Mike made the buying experience fast and simple. Test drove a car on Saturday and drove away as an owner on Monday! I'd definitely come back to buy again and again as they were a pleasure to work with.

Brian Kallens made the car buying process quick, easy, and even fun. He knows his stuff. Everyone in this office works hard to make a good deal and accommodate the customer's needs. This was a great experience and I highly recommend them, especially Brian Kallens.

Thank you to Robert and Mike for your patience with my wife and getting her in the right vehicle! We came to look at the Mercedes C300 and it was a beautiful car but after driving an SUV for the last 12 years, she couldn't bring herself to settle with a car. So glad you had the GLK for her and that we could work a deal. She's been driving it for 2 weeks now and is in love with it.

Brian and Mike were set on giving me the best buying, and they succeeded! Service delivery was impeccable. I had just over a thousand questions(lol), but they were patient and responded to every question with honest answers that helped me arrive at a best choice of vehicle. I recommend the company to anyone trying to make a decision regarding the most appropriate vehicle to get, as they are knowledgeable and have quite a range of options for customers to select from.

I was very satisfied with my experience with Thrifty Car Sales in Reisterstown and especially with Bryan. We were checking out used cars for a new driver in our family. I found a car in their inventory that I was interested in online. I came in on a Saturday morning without an appointment. I was greeted quickly, was test driving the car within 15 minutes and had negotiated a fair price and closed the deal in a couple hours. The whole team was friendly and professional.

I took a chance and made a 300 mile trip (one way) to purchase a 2013 Honda Civic- great condition, great price! Brian was great to work with and made the process quick and painless. On April 16, 2019 I visited Thrifty Car Sales in Reisterstown, MD. Upon My arrival, I was greeted by A salesman who assisted me. I informed him that I was searching though Car Guru and was very interested in a 2014 Toyota Tacoma on the lot. As such He retrieved the key and requested a copy of my Driver’s License. Thereafter we went for a test drive. Upon return, I informed him that I would like to purchase the vehicle and that I already secured a loan from my credit union, which was already forwarded to me via FEDEX. He recommended to start the paperwork and that he would place a hold on the vehicle, and so I did and informed him that I will be in touch as soon as I receive the check. I received the check on April 18, 2019. On the same day, I called the salesman that I was working with. He was not available, so I left the message with someone from Thrifty car Sales, who stated that he will pass the message onto the salesman that I requested to speak with. A few minutes later, I received a call from the salesman that I was working wit. He informed me that there has been a change in venue and the car that I wanted to purchase was sold. He said to me that he was not there the day the car was sold and that it was sold by another salesperson. He advised that he had placed a hold on the car and was very apologetic. I spoke with him again today to get an answer. He said that he will speak with the Sales Manager. After a few minutes, I received a call from the sales manager Mr. Bryan Calaen, who was not apologetic or wanting to really give me a comforting answer. The first thing that came out of his mouth was did put a deposit down and this is the car sales business, if you don’t place a deposit down anyone can come and purchase the vehicle “it’s just business.” “Many people have said that will return and never return and never do return.” Etc. My overall take from this Dealer is that they do not care about the individual customer, more so the leadership which sets the tone downwards. As a Military Retiree, I am totally disgusted with the way this company Operates. I believe that the Sales Manager needs to find other employment or moved from his position by the Corporate Headquarters
