I thought Bob was a good salesman based off of reviews and location. HE’S AN UNSCRUPULOUS SALESMAN! He screwed me out of $1,000 knowing I am a hard working... mother of 4 and expecting with my 5th child. He only cared about making money for himself and his company! I know car salesman are out to make money but why take advantage of someone knowing their situation? (Why want to rip someone off from their money period?) I don’t care if COVID-19 is slowing your business down... NEWSFLASH BOB: COVID-19 IS AFFECTING EVERYONE IN AMERICA! Such a coward to choose to rip me off especially during a time like this (ripping people off period is bad).. Then to think it’s ok to keep someone’s money only to bribe them into buying a car with you is even more PATHETIC. I had to decide whether to finish off buying a car with you since you had my $1,000 deposit held as credit at your shop or take my loss of $1,000 and go somewhere else..... I would NEVER buy a car with you after what you pulled on me .. How could I trust buying a car from you after what you just did?....(You practically said you don’t care what happens to me and my money as long as you’re getting your money that’s all that matters) and I am upset because I was stupid for thinking you were helping do what was best for me and the fact that I am not a gambler and I would have NEVER risked losing $1,000 that I have worked hard for and saved up irritates my soul. The fact that I get into an accident nearly lose me and my unborn’s life only to go to your shop a week afterwards and get played out of $1,000 (BY YOUR DECISION TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME AND MY MONEY) irritates my soul even more. BUT you obviously felt you and your company needed it more than me and my family did. I don’t believe in getting even or repaying evil with evil. God knows and sees everything and He will get you in a much more better way. Why be an unscrupulous salesman that rips people off when you could be a good salesman and have customers refer other buyers to you? (THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A GOOD SALESMAN). If you only pick and choose who to rip off then you’re even more pathetic. I will gladly give my money into a more deserving salesman and thank you for alerting me so I can make sure to prevent what you did to me from happening to me again. I will also make sure to alert everyone locally and not locally to help prevent anyone from losing their money to you the way I lost mine. Hopefully you will learn to become a good salesman and do what’s best for your customers instead of rip them off out of their hard earned money. Once you do that, I am sure God will bless you and your company in a way you’ve never seen or imagined. BUT for now enjoy my hard earned and saved up $1,000 and God Bless(: P.S. After having interacted with some very questionable car dealers at other lots, it was very pleasant working with Bob and Sam. We agreed upon a few repairs... that needed to be made to the vehicle that we purchased but wanted to drive it home that day and have our mechanic make the repairs. True to his word, Bob paid for the repairs and made sure we were satisfied with our experience.
Bob and his team had exactly the vehicle I'd been searching for. Great condition and a great value for the quality and condition of the vehicle. Working... with Bob is like working with an old friend. Transaction including a trade-in was simple with no complications. Purchasing a vehicle from Bob was truly a pleasant experience.
My experience with Lighthouse started by seeing a vehicle that I was interested in via an online website and then going to the car lot itself. When I... arrived at the car lot I was greeted by Bob ,who I found to a be a very transparent guy. He was very easy to deal with and even had some repairs made to the vehicle before I actually purchased it. We were able to close the deal in less than a hour without a lot of haggling and going back and forth.
PROCESS STARTED OUT GREAT AND WENT DOWN HILL FROM THERE. VAN HAD TO BE DETAILED 3 TIMES AND I FINALLY DID IT MYSELF BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T GET... IT RIGHT. SOLD US WHAT WAS REPORTED AS A BUMPER TO BUMPER EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT COME TO FIND OUT IS NOT. WE HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR LESS THAN A YEAR AND HAVE HAD TO PUT OVER $2000 IN REPAIRS INTO IT ALREADY. NEVER AGAIN.
A really good experience. A few twists and turns (mostly on my end) and they rolled with all of it. Got the car I wanted at a fair price. They also helped... me secure financing. Very happy with the whole experience. Lighthouse is also a very clean, well-maintained establishment.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM LIGHTHOUSE AUTO IN LEE’S SUMMIT! A (long) history of my BMW 335i Convertible. I found my dream car, and purchased it at Lighthouse... Auto in Lee’s Summit. It was sold to me by Sam - “As is-no warranty.” Then he sold me a two year warranty for an extra $900. He told me it would cover everything-a brand new engine, if necessary. When I went to retrieve my vehicle, it wasn’t available. It was at a Firestone in Lee’s Summit. They did an inspection on it, it passed, and I was on my way. The ‘check engine’ light came on on my way home, and the car lost power and made a whining sound. I took it to a local BMW repair shop, at my own expense, and was told the turbo had blown. They charged $130.00 for diagnosis. Bob, the owner of Lighthouse, convinced me to take it to an auto shop he frequents, and they would take care of it. The bill came to over $800.00 on top of what the warranty would cover, of which Bob paid half. I got the car home, had it for a day, and the transmission blew. Bob told me to take it to a third mechanic, which I did. I found that I trusted this new mechanic. The repairs cost about $1,300.00 after warranty. At this point, Bob and Sam stopped communicating with me. I asked if I could trade it in on another vehicle from their lot, but they wouldn’t take it back. Now the car is back in the shop. I love the car, but have trust issues with it. I was warned, but didn’t listen. This last round of repairs is covered by my insurance, but don’t expect customer service from Lighthouse. I don’t trust Bob or Sam, and neither should you. They are the epitome of stereotypical used car salesmen.
Great people to work with, High-quality cars and the price was already 1500 below the average price. Took it for a test drive and the wife and I loved... it. I would recommend Lighthouse automotive group to anyone.
Bought a solid used car from Bob. Good to deal with. Not much variation in the price but car was already cheaper than all in marketplace by $1200. I... would buy from them again.
We dealt with Bob[owner] He was very friendly and trustworthy. Treated ya like family. He fixed a few minor things on the truck we purchased in a timely... manner and even offered me a very affordable fix on a radio problem on another car i own. Check him out , he has some very nice cars on the lot for great prices.
