I am sharing my experience with Frank Myers Auto Maxx in hopes that it helps others who may have gone through something similar. I purchased a vehicle in May 2025. In the purchase of my own CarFax I found out that the car was a prior rental that had been in an accident. Yet I was charged over 18,862 (MSRP) for a used car I was told that I signed this contract with a co-signer. I did not have a co-signer. However, when I reviewed my own copy of the contract, I found that it was completely blank—no names, no signatures, and not even my own name appeared on it. I was never shown or given a copy of a 16-page warranty contract that the warranty company later confirmed should have been provided to me at the time of sale. I also later learned that documents, including an odometer disclosure, were submitted to the DMV under my name—documents that I had never seen, signed, or received a copy of. If you’ve purchased a vehicle from Frank Myers Auto Maxx, I strongly encourage you to go back and carefully review your own paperwork. Check the following forms: Form 553-NC (Retail Installment Sales Contract) Buyer’s Guide (should be attached and signed) – make sure you look for it on the car first GAP Addendum – that you approved as optional Odometer Disclosure – MVR-180 Title Application – MVR-1 Warranty contract (if one was included in your deal) A signed copy of your credit application – this tells you what was submitted to the lender to get your loan financed I encourage others to take a look at your contract and make sure everything is signed, properly filled out, and matches what you were told. If you find inconsistencies or missing forms, you may want to file your own complaint. This is my honest, firsthand experience, and I’m sharing it in the hope of protecting others from going through the same thing. To date, I have never seen a complete version of the contract with both my signature and the finance manager’s. I was not provided a fully signed copy at the time of purchase.” Don’t be afraid to use the agencies available to you. Dear Ms. Taylor, Thank you again for taking the time to share your concerns. I want to personally assure you that we take your feedback seriously, and we remain committed to doing everything we can to help find a resolution that you're satisfied with. You mentioned receiving a copy of a contract that was not signed. I understand how that may have raised concerns, and I’d like to clarify what occurred. Our Dealer Management System prints two copies of each form involved in the transaction. In your case, you were inadvertently provided with two unsigned versions of a couple of the forms instead of a signed copy. This was an honest clerical mistake, and I apologize for the oversight. Please know that the terms, figures and conditions are identical across both versions. You also noted that we submitted forms to the DMV that you did not see or sign. I understand that purchasing a vehicle involves a lot of paperwork, and it can feel overwhelming. However, I want to assure you that you did see and sign all of the documents that were submitted. These were the standard forms required to process your vehicle registration and secure your tag, something we explained would be handled for you at the time of purchase. Additionally, you stated that you were never shown or given a copy of a 16-page warranty contract. I’d like to respectfully clarify that there is no 16-page warranty contract associated with your purchase. What you likely received and may be referring to are two common documents: The Buyers Guide, which is federally required and outlines whether a vehicle is sold “as-is” or with a warranty. This is not a warranty contract. The Service Contract, which provides additional coverage options and is often mistakenly referred to as a warranty. You did receive this as part of your purchase. Regarding your concern about the vehicle’s accident history, I understand that a Carfax report may now show a previous incident. At Frank Myers Auto Maxx, we use AutoCheck by Experian, which is a trusted and widely used vehicle history service. The AutoCheck report provided at the time of your purchase did not indicate any accidents, and the vehicle’s title is clean. While no vehicle history report is 100% guaranteed to be accurate, we provide our customers with the most reliable and up-to-date information available to us at the time of sale. I also want to acknowledge that I understand that you are extremely unhappy with the vehicle you purchased. That is not the outcome we ever want for any customer. That’s why we’ve presented you with several possible resolutions and I want to reaffirm that each of these offers remains available to you: Vehicle Trade Option – We can help you trade the vehicle for one that better fits your needs and budget. Consignment Program – We will list and market your vehicle through our no-cost consignment program to help you sell it quickly. Refinancing Support – We can explore new financing options that may lower your monthly payments. Buyback Offer – We’re happy to appraise the vehicle and offer to purchase it back at fair market value. In addition, we’ve offered several times to provide you with copies of all signed documents. You’re welcome to pick them up at the dealership, or we’ll be glad to mail them to you. Just let us know what’s most convenient and which you would prefer. Ms. Taylor, our goal is not just to sell vehicles. It’s to build long-term relationships with customers through honesty, transparency, and fairness. We remain hopeful that one of these solutions can bring closure to your experience, and I invite you to reach out directly to myself or Keith Bowman (our General Manager) if you’d like to move forward with any of the options above.
