2021 Audi SQ5 Prestige – VIN WA1C4AFY8M2069317 – approx. 60,000 miles – September 2026 I don't normally leave negative reviews, but I wanted to document my experience both for CarShop and for anyone who may be considering this specific SQ5. I was very interested in purchasing this 2021 Audi SQ5 Prestige from CarShop Hatfield. Anthony, our salesperson, was extremely nice, accommodating, and respectful of our time and schedule. My issue was not with Anthony. We liked the SQ5, but I had some concerns during the test drive, so before purchasing it I arranged a pre purchase inspection at JTC Automotive, a European/Luxury car specialist I trust and have used for my previous Audis. The PPI identified several concerns: 1. Belt/belt-drive issue – there was an audible noise that I had actually noticed myself almost immediately. 2. Cracked front upper control-arm bushings – JTC showed me the deterioration and advised me that, in their opinion, the condition would not pass PA inspection. 3. Evidence/crystallization showing coolant leak that JTC recommended addressing/investigating. I was still willing to buy the vehicle. I told my salesperson that I was prepared to pay asking price if CarShop would work with me on a reasonable solution to the issues identified by the PPI. I even offered to come in and speak with a manager in person. Instead, I received a phone call from a manager who told me that CarShop's mechanic said the vehicle passed their state inspection and that they would not perform any of the requested work. Essentially, the answer was take it or leave it. I explained that the belt noise was clearly audible and offered to send photographs showing the damaged control-arm bushings. What bothered me most was that the manager told me he didn't want to see the photos and again relied on their mechanic's determination that the vehicle passed. There was another issue that made me uncomfortable with that response. On my initial test drive, the SQ5 made a very loud, sharp squeaking noise over bumps. I reported it, but I was told their mechanics couldn't reproduce/hear it. It was not a subtle noise. During the independent inspection, JTC traced that particular noise to a loose spare wheel and secured it. So fortunately that noise itself was an easy fix, but it reinforced my concern about how thoroughly my complaints were being investigated. I completely understand that two mechanics can disagree about whether a component currently meets Pennsylvania's minimum inspection requirements. What disappointed me was the unwillingness to even look at the photographs or meaningfully discuss the findings from an independent specialist when I was ready to purchase the vehicle at the advertised price. I ultimately walked away from the SQ5 and purchased a different Audi elsewhere. My advice to anyone considering a used performance/luxury vehicle from CarShop, and particularly anyone researching VIN WA1C4AFY8M2069317, is to get an independent PPI from a mechanic you trust before purchasing. CarShop advertises inspected vehicles and warranty coverage, but my experience left me questioning how much confidence I could place in that protection when documented concerns were dismissed before I had even purchased the car. Again, Anthony was pleasant and accommodating throughout the process. My negative experience relates to how the mechanical findings and my concerns were handled once they were brought to management.

I contacted Car Shop through their website on the morning of August 14th because I was looking to trade in my car for another vehicle. I received a message from Colin shortly afterward, and he spent the day looking through the inventory for me and asking questions to make sure he understood exactly what I was looking for. Once I found a vehicle I was interested in, I requested a video of the exterior and interior. Colin made that happen very quickly. The vehicle was located at a different location, but he arranged to have it moved to a location that was much more convenient for me. It arrived that same evening, and Colin contacted me to schedule a time to come in and see it. I went to Car Shop on August 15th, met Colin, and test-drove the vehicle. Once I decided to purchase it, everything went incredibly smoothly. Colin was wonderful throughout the entire process. He answered all of my questions, explained everything thoroughly, and was knowledgeable, professional, and patient. I drove home in my new car on Monday, August 17th, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Thank you, Colin, for making the entire process so easy and enjoyable. The Hatfield dealership had a lot of different makes and models of cars, SUVs and trucks. All the employees were friendly and not pushy.
