Reviews
Write a reviewBought a new car from them and it was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. We negotiated a price on the phone, but when I went there in person they made it seem like the price was still the same but it’s not. I was made to pay thousands of dollars more for the car when I only choose this dealer because of the deal that I was supposed to get. When asked about change, they said that they couldn’t do it and that the first seller I talked to was lying, but I was never informed of the new price while in the dealership. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them to work with me about changing the price, signing a new contract or something but they just kept putting me on hold. I have got no one picking up my calls for days or the manager picking up and giving me an offer but never following through with it. The last straw was him telling me to come in on a specific day to sign a new contract and was supposedly out for the whole day because he was in an unexpected meeting. I decided to just get a check for the extended warranty that they added without asking (they even told me I can cancel it myself if I didn’t want it, but how could I even do that if they don’t want to submit the paperworks) and when I texted that to the manager, he replied within seconds of my text. That’s when I knew, he was just playing with me and was never really going to do anything. I’m going to take this as an expensive lesson learned and hope no one else will fall for their lies. So my advice with this dealership is don’t do it. You would get cheated, put on hold, played and in the end they don’t care. So don’t buy a car here.

After signed the paperwork. They don’t care of you anymore. Requested a call back. They ignored you. I really hated them. Not honest. I wished they ran out their business.

Great price. Professional. Delivered car to my home. Have purchased several cars from them. New and used. They stand behind their sales. I highly recommend Berkeley Honda.

They tried to sell me a used car as a "new" one. We negotiated the price and vehicle up front. I was literally in the middle of signing paperwork when I went outside to check the car after they brought it back from "the car wash". Clue 1) 350 miles on the odometer. Salesman came up with BS excuse about this being a dealer trade from SoCal and they drove the car up instead of on a truck Clue 2) candy wrappers in the back seat Clue 3) a large tube containing marketing material under the floor mat Clue 4) stains and spills on the seats Salesman kept coming up with BS excuses after each discovery... wouldn't own up to it, and kept pushing us to take the car. Clue 5) used wine glass found under the passenger seat! No joke. The story I was then finally given was that the owner took the car for a weekend trip and then they tried to sell it to me. Yup, sounds like a place I want to do business with. Bought the identical NEW car (~10 miles on the ODO) at Stevens Creek Honda for the same price a few days later. And, those guys had 5 of the exact same car (colors, options, etc) to choose from! It was a further drive, but totally worth it.

Our experience buying a car at Berkeley Honda was extremely disappointing. The sales staff were not welcoming in any way, and it seemed from the very beginning like they had no interest in selling us a car. Our salesman could not answer any of our questions about the used vehicle we were looking at. He left us sitting in the lounge for about 45 minutes while they were theoretically "inputting things in the computer" meanwhile all of the staff were just sitting around socializing. Then, when we asked about negotiating the price of our vehicle, the staff were very unprofessional and were yelling at the top of their lungs down the hall about how we couldn't negotiate the price of the vehicle. We finally left with our vehicle after being rushed through some paperwork by the finance officer who was the only pleasant person we encountered at Berkeley Honda. We definitely will not be returning here for any sales or service in the future because I was more capable of acting like an adult when I was eight years old than any of the sales staff at Berkeley Honda.

I swear to God my comments are true and not faked - Do not go to their service department! It is a LIAR! I wished I could give them a NEGATIVE -5 star! I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation some time ago. I came back after a whole afternoon waiting to pick up my car and the tires were never ever rotated. And the face-thick-like-a-wall advisor told me that he saw the technician rotated tire - a total lie! The front wheels were dirty(because near the engine) before I came in and still the same when I picked it up- this clearly showed the tires were NEVER rotated. The "generous" advisor suggested coming back and "put my tires back"- I really admired his adamant stiffness on their mistakes! What a great liar he is! They never rotated my tires and how on earth they could put the back? A totally dishonest store! Extremely rude people! Do not go!

I came here to get a basic alignment done but was treated in a very dismissive and unprofessional manner specifically by the managers. Not ok.

I worked with Berkeley Honda's Internet department on the purchase of my 2012 Honda Accord. They found the color I was looking for when there were very few 2012's remaining. I had called around for 2 days with no prior luck. Brian Vaile made me a great deal and had the vehicle ready for me to pick up the next day. I was in and out of there in 1 1/2 hours. The price was right and the service from Brian and John was excellent! Thank you for an easy transaction and thank you for picking me up at BART. I highly recommend call ing Brian Vaile in the Internet Sales department for a straight forward transaction.

Brian sold us a used Toyota. He lied when asked about former owners and attempted to indicate that it was most likely a single corporate owner. After we bought the car it was quite obvious that it had been a Hertz rental. Another employee there indicated to us that they often bought Hertz rental for re-sale. The Hertz sticker was still on the car, and the car was quite bruised and battered. It was also dirty in cup holders, missing floor mats and generally not the condition they'd indicated it was in on the website. Brian is in charge of website sales.
