Great buying experience
Thanks to Jeff Griffin for the outstanding job on our new car purchase! Jeff went above and beyond what we expected. Starting with showing me the used car I had already looked at online and I had my own financing. We then walked around and looked at some new cars, I was a little skeptical. But Jeff showed me an 2018 Hyundai Elantra value edition, not much more that what we would be spending, and its brand new! We were sold on this car for the warranty and roadside assistance that was offered. He also got me a lower rate at a different bank. Now that's above and beyond anything! Elantra
Came in without a lot of brand knowledge, just a target payment and a lease preference. Geoff did an excellent job of fitting us to the right vehicle and payment. The lease suits our situation just fine. Every question was answered with ease. We were referred by family members to Geoff, and they were correct.

Hyundai Kona Purchase
Incredible car buying experience. Leased a 2018 Kona. Our salesman, Jeffrey Griffin, is easily the BEST car salesman I have worked with over the years. Very knowledgeable not only about the vehicle, but about financing options and warranties. No pressure sales is the way to go. He delivered everything as promised and our time there was minimal. Failed to deliver on promise made at time of purchase.
We recently purchased a new Hyundai Tucson. We were told by our salesman that the car came equipped with a full size spare, he lifted the trunk lid and pointed to the tire in the well as being full size. After purchase and cleaning the car (which had chicken bones under the front seat and next to the console) we discovered that the tire, while not the small “donut spare” was not full size either. After several calls to the salesman with negative results, I spoke with his manager “Bob” who told me that a full size spare would cost $600 and too expensive to honor the promise made to us. Obviously they will say and promise everything and anything to make a sale but will not honor their lies. Hopefully they only do this to senior citizens and not all their customers! This is the second and last car we will purchase from this fraudulent dealership.

Stress free car shopping experience with Paul Hamm
We bought a new Elantra on 07 April 2018. Paul Hamm was our sales person and we cannot say enough nice things about him. We went back a few times and he was the decisive factor why we bought a new car at Checked Flag. We've bought several new cars before at other locations, but this was by far the best car shopping experience. We appreciated the transparency of the trade in value as well as the new car purchase price. Paul was very knowledgeable about the different models and helped us find the best car within our budget. We had been searching for about a week for a used or new car and went to several dealerships as well as car dealers in the Hampton Roads area. The experience ranged from poor to good until we went to Checkered Flag Hyundai in Virginia Beach, were the service was excellent. Car shopping can be stressful, but Paul Hamm made a huge difference, he listened to what we were looking for, was courteous and not pushy; he made this process fun and easy. We are highly recommending this dealership and will keep him in mind next time we are in the market for a new car.
