Don't go by the list price, they raised it 3k from what was listed. They also added 2,000 for lowjack which I never wanted & had no choice in paying for. The manager came over & said the price of the car was listed wrong & tomorrow it goes up 3,000 which it was for a day. Bait & switchback to the original price listed. I ended up walking away from negotiating over $1000 difference. Btw it was looking at the Volkswagen Atlas 2021 20k+

⚠️ Warning to anyone buying from Route 23 Nissan: I was told $7,000 was for taxes and tags, but those were charged separately on the contract. I didn’t receive the full paperwork until days later—only after repeated calls and mentioning I had contacted a lawyer. They added charges for LoJack, Dealer Maintenance, and Sonsio. None of which were properly explained or not mentioned at all. This felt downright deceptive. I’ve filed complaints with the CFPB, FTC, BBB, and NJ Attorney General. No one drives 2.5 hours for a car deal just to say, "Yes, please add thousands in hidden fees to my loan." Don’t make the same mistake I did. I’m now spending hours filing complaints, researching my rights, and contacting lawyers. Do not trust what they tell you. read every document carefully and protect yourself.

I drive 3 and half hour both ways to see and purchase a car. Prior to driving they confirmed no hidden charges after I get TrueCar price breakdown. But once I go there The 20k car becomes over 30k with various mark ups, the car tire seems to way older than the car and the sales person explanation was hilarious. Over all shady dealership to avoid

Absolutely horrible.

Absolutely horrible. I’ve been in contact about the car for a week. Drove 2 h one way to my appointment just to have someone test drive and buy the car right in front of me. Sales manager did nothing but lie and make up excuses. They even let me test drive it knowing someone else is finalizing the sale. Steer clear.

Firstly, This was my first new car, first lease.

Firstly, This was my first new car, first lease. I was very excited, to say the least. I also want to make it clear that, Fermin, the young salesman, was wonderful. Guillermo was too. Carol in the "phone call" center was kind and warm, as was the young woman at the receptionist desk. Thus, it wasn't all bad. Where it went poorly is I asked to see two lower end models because I had a price point that fit my budget. I don't want to say they said no, but they certainly did not say yes, either. They kept pushing the higher end Rogue on me, which is too much car. As a point of reference, I went in there and asked for the following things: 1. power steering. I had a '09 Civic that did not have power steering any longer. More, it did not have AC which is the 2nd thing I asked for. Third, I wanted the blind spot detection lights because the accident got into once was because someone was driving in my blind spot. Then, the last thing was CD player because I have CD's from my youth and I'm nostalgic. That's all I wanted. I ended up with bells and whistles that I don't need. Look, I got the car at a price that I can handle. But, it was the inferred refusal to bring out the lower end models. Then, I dealt with "the closer." What a pushy jerk. He went by John. Dunno if that's an ALIAS or not. Lastly, the guy in the finance room who tried to jack up my price. Also, I WAS THERE FOR 8 HOURS! I had to call them to see if my plates came in. No one called me. They applied for a loan for some reason, in my name, even though I made it clear I wanted to lease. That dinged my credit score that I've bene trying to repair. What should have been a fun experience was completely ruined by these folks. The other folks I mentioned are good people.

Consumer response

Also, I spoke to a nice woman named Tranisha. I hope I'm spelling that correctly. She's very professional and kind. I look forward to working with her in the future. My dealings with Nissan USA and NMAC., whatever that is, haven't been pleasant either. They keep you on hold for 30-45 with an annoying, trolling track on the phone that keeps telling you that your call is important to them. it isn't. Nissan USA clearly doesn't covet customer service. Maybe they should put Carol in charge. She knows how to be kind and warm and make people feel appreciated. Maybe this begins and ends with Ivan Espinosa? Seems to be asleep at the wheel. Pun intended.

Had several sales people contact me.

Had several sales people contact me. Everything was good. They sold car before I was able to get to it. Was my fault.

Nissan should read these reviews - this dealership is

Nissan should read these reviews - this dealership is shameful and deceitful at a minimum. They are the epitome of bait and switch - they add fees to the posted price that are astronomical - and want to haggle with you - just be honest, post an honest price, don't jack up your fees and then lie and say - these are required by law - we have to charge this amount - um, no you don't, as anyone who has purchased a vehicle before knows. I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting my time at this sham of a car dealership.

Do not shop here!

Do not shop here! Went there to possibly buy a 2020 Ram with an online price of $34,000. I had a 2018 Grand Cherokee for a trade in. My Cherokee in it's condition retails for $18,000 to $19,000 Dude comes back with a trade in offer of $11,500. So, with the insulting trade in offer and the $1,000 the total price was almost $40,000. Yes, that $34,000 truck is now $40,000 WITH a trade in and an additional $1,000. Turns out they added over $7,000 in bogus fees. There was a $5,000 inspection fee and a $2,000 Lojack fee. Lol! There was also a $800 security fee. So after trying to steal my car for $11,500 they add on $7,000 on xx fees. These people are unethical. Find another dealer.
