Better than expected

This dealership really takes care of you. I was blown away with the excellent and kind service. They really sit down and figure out exactly what you’re looking for without pressuring you. I highly recommend coming here, I will definitely be back for my for the rest of my cars.

Very good customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris Graham in Service Department was excellent to work with. I have had my car in for service over 8 times (not at this dealership) and it was a pleasure to have such quick, efficient service this time. I would go back to Chris again -however I hope I do not need anything else !!!

A pleasure as always

Scheduled and appointment for the day and time that it worked for me. Got me in and out as scheduled with all work complete. The personal attention I received could not possibly be improved upon. Always feels like family there. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Customer Lost

My last service experience was alright. Dean was very nice, for an oil change appointment. Had no issues really with the service center, just that they forgot to leave my serpentine belt that they changed and i told them to put the previous one that I bought from Auto zone back in my vehicle. Which never happened, and by the time I left. I just didn't feel like going through the process to get it back. But, I have noticed if a customer does make a request for something detailed to be done, they usually miss it. From their reviews on Google and on here. Now, for my main review. As I was maintaining my vehicle there the last few months, I was also in the market for a newer vehicle. So I kept my eye on the used vehicles there. I knew what I wanted concept wise. AWD, fog lamps, and spacious. Looked at a vehicle and got linked up with a sales rep. Nice fellow, very straightforward and to the point. Definitely gave the vibe that he's in it to close the deal. Never truthfully felt like he genuinely cared what I was thinking about or even asked. I told him what I wanted but he never really invested more into me. I was vague for a reason, to see if he'd go more personal. So he paired me with a Dodge Journey R/T. AWD, fog lamps, and spacious. I dug the vehicle. Enjoyed it. Told the sales rep I liked it. Felt comfortable. That must of been the mistake of mine, immediately I was flung into things becoming even more pressured and forced to purchase this vehicle and close the deal. Never really geniuely asking if I'd like to look at anything else, he never offered to take it for a 24 hour test drive. Never really offered any comfort. Just sped everything up to close the deal. Thank God for divine intervention, when I was going to close on the deal, my parents were helping with my down payment. The form of payment wasn't excepted (totally fine and wasn't a big deal) and it gave me time to really think about what was happening to me. Realizing I wasn't truthfully valued and I was being turned as a number in their sales reports. I decided to not go with the Journey and check out another vehicle I had in mind. I ended up at Tony Serra Nissan in Highland and had a WHOLE different positive experience with their Dealership. Ended up purchasing from them, got a GREAT DEAL and I emailed the sales rep from Shuman that was contacting me all day, after I told him I wasn't interested in the Journey, I went with Nissan. I never heard from him again... "I want your business" he said previously in a text. But what about my referral business? Guess he doesn't want that either. So the comparison between my experience with Shuman and Tony Serra is so so so different. Shuman was actually really horrible in comparison. In addition, when I needed to wait for anything in the used vehicle dealership. There's no lounge. I had to sit on the checker stage with their show vehicle. I was never asked if I wanted a water or if I needed anything. It was just, close the deal and get the vehicle off the lot. I wasn't valued as a customer. I was valued as a sales statistic for them. I know the sales business well, I would never treat my client/customer like how I was treated.

I had a chance to sit down with our pre-owned department to discuss your concerns and frankly they were quite surprised at some of your comments. Both your salesperson and his manager felt you were very happy with your vehicle selection and appreciated all the time they spent helping you through the selection process, again our apologies if you felt differently. Your salesperson even shared an email you later sent informing him of your decision to cancel the deal with us and the great job you felt our team did helping you with your buying decision even though you decided to go a different direction, even offered to direct referrals our way. The Shuman name has been selling and servicing in this community for better than 60 years, we have a reputation as a dealership that builds relationships, not numbers. When they started the finance process it was not to speed things up and get on to the next customer, they really felt you made the decision to purchase the Journey and simply went on to the next step in the buying process. If you felt we were only interested in closing the deal you have our sincerest apology. Also, I’m sorry our salesperson did not call you right after you purchased a vehicle from another dealer, this is typically a call that should be made by the selling dealer. Chris Graham is the Man!

Called and spoke with Chris regarding my airbag recall. Chris ordered the parts and scheduled my appointment. Chris was awesome! He introduced himself to me, gave me his card and checked to see if I needed a ride home. Later he called to inform me the job was done and again checked to see if I needed a ride back to the shop. He addressed me in a professional manner and treated me like I was his only client! Chris made me a believer in the Shuman Service Department--a great addition!!!

Great Service

Mike Weinstein was my write up person he is VERY helpful, friendly. Mike had Eric K. do my service on my Pacifica he did a great job, every thing was done a timely manor,and left very clean.
