I purchased 2 new Hyundai Santa Cruz vehicles.
I purchased 2 new Hyundai Santa Cruz vehicles. The second one had a master cylinder go at 6,000 miles. I requested a loaner car as this will be a lengthy repair. I was told by Mike the service manager that he has 30 loaner vehicles. I was repeatedly told that I would get a loaner car and every time there was another excuse. I would never recommend dealing with Mathew’s again. They don’t care about the customers after the sale. Very poor service!!

Very nice dealership, clean , neat, the parking lot is extremely organized , easy to drive around. We purchased a "24" Palasade from Jay. Probably the best experience I've had buying a vehicle. Jay was great, informative, he wasn't pushy, just a nice guy and good salesman.

Beware of this company, Hyundai and Matthews.
Beware of this company, Hyundai and Matthews. They sold me a a garbage car I’ve been fighting this case with them for a year they lied they falsified papers. They took all my money and kept my car on their lap, and then said they were going to fix it. Drain my oil and said I ruined my engine I’m in the middle of talking to corporate and the end of the day they sided with them so now I have to get an attorney let me say I left with no vehicle Ben making a car payment every month while my car sit in their lot for nine months , they waited long enough and then my car was broken into. I turned them into vehicle fraud department. This company is not good. I have a foster child. I am now stuck with no car, but a car payment. I am about ready to go on new channel 9 news tell my story

False and devious pretentions
My experience yesterday (11/29/23) at Matthews Hyundai Syracuse NY was so offensive I cannot ever imagine purchasing a car from the Matthews group. I will avoid other adjectives for I believe it is within their character to sue a potential customer. I was conned by their website and discussions with staff to come into your location. The issue concerns their online offer to buy out ones leased car. I recd an online offer of $14500. I am not so naïve to believe that number but followed through out of curiosity. Met with Salesman who had no idea what I was talking about. However after a long meeting with his sales mgr he gave me an offer of about $11100 vs. $14500 online offer. The offer was under the residual value of around $11400. The salesman even hinted that the online offer was inflated to get one in to the dealership. Please take whatever is said by Matthews Auto group with a large "grain-of-salt".

Buyers beware
By your beware, do not buy from them do not deal with them they are abusive they are not honest people I bought a car from them paid it off. Things happen to the car within that year they took my car. He said that they’re gonna fix it. Instead, they told me they were waiting for Hyundai to fix the engine because that’s what went on it. I communicated with them only to be handled like a criminal the general manager, Rob he was coming to put hands on me at my bank shocked me I didn’t know what was going on Call the police they made up all kinds of stories. I brought their loaner back they looked at me said we’re not dealing with you you could just take your vehicle and leave. I left out there with a broken engine. Now I’m getting a whole different attorney and I’ve got some things going on. Please do not go to them , they are dangerous and abusive

Sales person made our decision easy!
Lost our business. Went to inquire about a car for my son, and sales person couldn't be bothered with letting us know pricing outside of whatever is on the window sticker. He did at least go check the interest rate when we asked. Told us that 5 days ago they had a $1000 off for a construction sale as they are currently working in trailers there, to which I let him know that they probably should take the "Construction sale" signs all over down if that was indeed the case. We only went to compare pricing to Burdick, but Burdick's professionalism and much better sales people won us over. Thanks to the "typical" used car type sales person at Matthews that made our decision easy! I think they are getting a bit too comfortable with operating in a difficult supply chain, but that won't be around much longer.

I have been having my vehicle serviced for several years
I have been having my vehicle serviced for several years and have always had great service. Yesterday was not the case. I needed a new antenna for my Tucson and was quoted a little over $400.00. When I asked for a discount paying cash, I was told that due to being a loyal customer, I would have close to a hundred dollars knocked off the price. I thought this included labor. The part came in several days later and I brought my car in to have the repair. When finished my bill was over 400.00 and I questioned it Brandon, the person I had been dealing with and he replied labor isn't free. He then showed me how there was a gap where the hood antenna had been bolted down. And he talked with another person for his opinion. Brandon told me I'd have to get some silicone or something to seal it so water wouldn't get in, that I could get some sealant and bring the car back, or I could take it to a body shop since he said they aren't a body shop or call Dent Wizard. They hadn't washed the car or checked tires as requested. He said car was wan't on the order but offered to have it wash , however... They said they wouldn't advise washing the car with the gap on top as water could get it .I wasn't happy as the car wasn't repaired fully. Apparently there was some damage to roof of car from garage door the took off antenna. When I went to pay bill with my credit card, he said I thought you were paying cash. I Said I wan't planning on 400.00 and had 300.00. He proceeded to use my charge card and I asked him if he wanted the 300.00 cash and he said cash and card are the same. I asked then why did you ask me about the cash. He didn't answer. He was very unprofessional and rude, in my opinion and I ended up taking my car to a body shop to seal the 1/8" gap. I won't be going to Mathews Hyundai any more business with this type of behavior and unprofessional attitude and service.
