I Hate reading long reviews so I’ll keep this as short as I can while addressing several issues. I purchased a used vehicle from Ira Acura of Westwood. I was putting a large amount of money down as a down payment and coming from out of state. I was given an out the door price over the phone through text. This price sounded fair so I decided to make the 3 hour ride. After the test drive, we spoke numbers and they added several dealer “fees” to their out the door price that was more than what was previously texted to me. After threatening to leave twice, they finally removed the extra “fees” and agreed to the original texted price. They were also xxxx bent on me financing through them and not through my personal credit union. I then stated that I needed to talk to my wife about the numbers and left. I could tell that they were upset with this as it was the end of the month and they were pushing to sell the vehicle (more on this later). A day later I reached out to the sales person advising that I was interested in the vehicle and because I lived a state away, could I put a non refundable down payment of$1,000.00 down to hold the vehicle, which they stated that they could not do. I then advised that I had a large amount of cash to put down on the vehicle and asked how they preferred it; cash or bank check? The salesperson I was dealing with never called me back. After leaving several voicemail messages with different people, two different people stated cash would be fine. Finally, I received a third call from the general manager who stated that a bank check would be best (which was fine). The next morning I went to the bank, deposited the cash to have a bank check made out. I called Acura of Westwood to make sure the check was properly made out to avoid any issues as I was traveling from out of state and it was the very last day of the month as they were eager to sell the vehicle. When I called my salesperson he didn’t pick up the phone. I then called the GM who also didn’t pick up the phone. I left messages for both. Hours went by without receiving a phone call, causing me to leave much later than I wanted to to complete this deal and drive the 3 hours. I finally received the phone call answering my question. The day of making this deal I was advised that because I’m purchasing this vehicle and I live out of state that I could not leave with the vehicle because the state of Massachusetts does not do temporary registrations or transporter plates and they refused to put a dealer plate on it. So after feeling rushed to make this deal (because it was the end of the month, they would not take a deposit and “it’s first come, first /serve”) I could not drive the vehicle home. They stated that they would drive the vehicle to me after I made an appointment with my states DMV. My DMV was booked out a month due to the govt Real ID issues. Again, they declined to assist with this issue. Lastly, after making the purchase I was told that the vehicle would be detailed. This never occurred as the candy that was found under the backseat when I test drove it was still there when the truck was finally delivered to me. The people I dealt with for this terrible experience were Aziz/Belo/Fernando. Their Business Manager Maroun was also quite rude after I declined all their “extra” warranties, sarcastically saying “well, good luck.” The only decent person there is Trevor.

Hello John, First, I would like to thank you for your feedback, as we always strive to deliver a great experience and when we do fall short, we do learn, grow, and make improvements to be better. Second, I would like to apologize that this experience did not meet these expectations. I sent you an email as well as left you a voice mail to review the things that were stated in your review as some things are not accurate and wanted a chance to speak with you. You were given a price and the price did not change when you got to the store, you wanted us to deliver the car to and there was a delivery fee quoted as that was not part of the deal quoted, we did waive this fee and delivered the car several hours away as we understood the time you had invested coming back and forth. Also, the reason we suggested you financed with one of the banks was again to save you timer as you would be doing a lot of running around and we have banks and credits unions that can match or beat just about any rate out there. You did end up financing with one of the lenders we had available. You said we were pressuring you to buy the car, then stated we didn’t want to help you move fast enough. Yes, at the end of the month we are busy and most of our business comes the last week of the month, and we did ask you to purchase, as you stated you drove along ways to get here, and we just wanted to put it together for you to maximize your time. I do apologize that it took us time to get back to you and I assure you it was due to us being busy not ignoring your call and as you stated when we got the message ewe did return your call. You were not happy with the salesman Aziz, so we set you up with Trevor and I’m happy to hear that he did make a good impression and got you the vehicle. Last thing is, yes coming from out of state, Massachusetts does not have temp tags, so the car does have to be registered, and we did take car of this for you. I agree this process can be somewhat painful and if we could change it we would. As a company we do not put vehicles on dealer plates, and I know that was explained to you. As Far as a detail on the truck, if this was missed in transition between the salespeople arranging to deliver the truck to you. I would be more than happy to schedule you a detail at your convenience. Again, I do apologize about this. I would still be more than happy to have a conversation with you, if you would like to return my call or email. I would really like to turn this around as this is not how our clients leave feeling about us, and we always try to correct any issues that were left unaddressed. Marc was simply fantastic!
Marc was simply fantastic! We set up an appointment, got there a bit early and Marc quickly acknowledged us and welcomed us in to sit down. My wife had the baby and he offered us beverages. The information was detailed, service was quick and friendly. We made a great choice with buying our Acura from here. The client experience felt tailored to us personally. Once service was finished the car came back with a nice wash and vacuum! Our next car will be another Acura from Ira Westwood.
