Excellent service experience!

Excellent service experience! The team was very attentive upon arrival and asked good questions in order to best address any concerns I had. They then brought my car into their shop and did a thorough review of the systems, while keeping me updated. Once completed, they made sure that I was satisfied.

Dealer performed work without authorization.

Dealer performed work without authorization. Dealer sent me a quote after inspection. I planned to get rear spring, rear bushings, alignment , tire rotation, and oil change. The total quote for these items was $1980. Pretty steep but I was ok with it. I had everything authorized on the system signed the agreement and submitted approval. The system would not process my request so after a few attempts I regenerated the webpage. When I did this it changed the amount of the spring to $1993.85. The spring is $78. I asked the service advisor what was going on, why did you send me 1 quote and now it has magically disappeared. His response was ?must of been a glitch in the system?. He said that?s what the actual price was. I told him what happened was super shady. I?m glad I noticed the price had changed from the original quote I received. I wish I took a screenshot because the original just disappeared. Work was also done on my vehicle before I signed any paper work. I declined most of the work because of the shade that was thrown my way from about changing the price on me $900 while I?m viewing the first quote that was sent to me. Lastly I needed to enter the shop bay to get something out of my vehicle. Steven makes me put on safety glasses that he unwrapped from plastic. When I go to leave I?m not going to give my used safety glasses back. Steven chased me down and asked for them back because they are the last pair. I said ? you are going to reuse my glasses? Kind of gross no?? I am prone to eye infections, so if you receive an unwrapped pair I would clean them lol. I would never buy an Acura again just because my area has some pretty shady dealers and there are only so many. I would say Acura of Boston is even worse! The Acura I have is 15 years old so I?ve heard everything from these scam artists. The price gouging is insane. A $78 rear spring costs $2000 to replace at this dealer, if you called all the Acuras dealers in the area they would 100% give you all different quotes depending on where you live. If your car is under warranty you are good if not these dealers are constantly ripping people off. The rear spring will be fixed by a local mechanic for $500. The experience I had before at Acura Westwood was that I caught the tech at the McDonalds drive thru 2.5hrs after I dropped the car off haha like what the heck? I?m waiting inside and you are over at McDonalds drive through with a 20car deep line?! I caught him because I was at McDonalds too eating breakfast while my car was allegedly being worked on.
