Write a reviewI went into Parkway Ford with the intention of trading my 2022 GMC Terrain for a 2025 Bronco Sport. Not blaming the salesman as he was just doing what his management instructed him to do but he had us take our GMC to a GMC dealership under their umbrella company in Lexington NC for an appraisal. He said it was due to my vehicle being a lease. I had done this type of transaction several times in the past without having to do this but thought maybe this was company policy and went to Lexington the next afternoon. Bottom line, Parkway Ford lost a sale because I bought a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox in Lexington that same day. My suggestion is if you have a customer on your lot, don't risk losing a sale by sending that customer to a competitor for something you have handled yourself. Dealerships appraise vehicles and make trades every day no matter if it's a purchase or a lease.

Took our Explorer in for a recall. One of their employees totaled our car as he was moving it across the street. Didn’t see a tow truck, really? Their insurance has been horrible to work with. Parkway has taken zero ownership in making this right. Integrity from the owners is lacking. So very sad. We are out thousands of dollars for their inadequacy in making this right. Beware when dealing with Parkway Ford. Just wanted to pick up our car that afternoon in the same condition we left it. We are out thousands of dollars. They made it clear it was not their problem. What happened to “treat people the way you want to be treated?” So very sad

Had my 2019 Ford Ranger in service. I was advised that I had water intrusion into my spark plug wells. I asked them to call my warranty company. Was notified that the warranty company approved the repairs. The next day I was informed that they broke one of the spark plugs and it was stuck in the head. Again I have an extended warranty and assumed they would contact them for approval of repairs. They said that they would have it towed to a machine shop to see if they could drill it out. The next word I got was that the word was done and I would owe for the tow and machine shop work - $490. I again reminded them that I have the warranty and asked them to contact the warranty company. Monday of the following week I called to check and was told that an inspector had come out from warranty company and they would not pay for the repairs. I then let them know that I never authorized the spark plug removal work. When asked to speak to my service advisor I was informed he was on vacation and could not be contacted. In order to get my vehicle I had to pay the bill and then discuss it with service advisor. Result from him and service manager was no relief.

Long story short, I had major internal engine problems with my f150 that should have been covered under warranty. I brought the truck in for repair only to be told that the noise was "normal wastegate rattle" according to Ford. I gave them a copy of the TSB describing the noise, the failure, and the solution (the electronic version of which even included an audio clip of the noise). The same problem (cam phaser failure) is a well-known pattern failure on these engines and had previously occurred on my truck and been repaired under warranty. I was fairly certain of my diagnosis. So much so that when they called to tell me out was fine, I asked them to listen again. They called back within the hour to tell me the same thing. This is problematic because at first the noise only occurs at cold start, and an hour later is not long enough to check it again. Clearly they did not check it again, just repeated the same statement, assuming I didn't know what I was talking about. They declined to repair, then the warranty expired. The problem progressed, the truck broke down on a road trip in Canada, and now I'm stuck with $10,000 in repairs and 5 months with the vehicle off road waiting for parts to fix an inappropriately denied warranty claim. The repairs were more extensive than originally needed because the failure progressed in the mean time, taking out other timing components and catalytic convertors. I filed claims with Ford customer care who blamed the dealer ("they are independent and we don't have any control over them") and with Parkway who to this day has never responded to emails, phone calls, letters, and Ford customer care. I eventually completed repairs and am selling the truck to buy another brand. My experience could happen to anyone (modern cars are complex and certainly misdiagnosis is possible, even when the correct diagnosis is handed to you on a platter like this was), but the complete lack of response to email has been frustrating. Presumably, they realize they screwed up and are hoping this goes away. My advice: look for literally any other dealer should you wish to buy a Ford. I've had better luck with Crossroads and Crescent. After months and many attempts on my part, the only response I have ever received from Parkway was a reply to a Google review to the effect of we regret you were disappointed... your truck problems were unrelated to our dealership. Caveat Emptor

Brought my Ford in for multiple issues. When I made the appointment, I never was told they wouldn't drive me home because it was over their 10 miles limit. I had to get a Lyft home. I called to check on the vehicle. My "service advisor" was at lunch. A guy called me back ("service advisor" still not available). He proceeds to tell me what's wrong with it. I tell him no way am I paying them $1300 for them not to be able to fix it all. I get a ride to pick up my vehicle. My "service advisor" was snarky and said to me, "I'm not going to charge you to look at your vehicle." I was never advised that you would charge me in the first place. Don't go here. RUN!

This makes the 4th vehicle Mike Dummet has sold us. He doesn’t waste your time he tells you how it is. Easily the best in the business.
