BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!!!This dealership sold my husband and I a used vehicle that was unsafe to be on the road. Within 10 days, it was in the shop with a brake caliper that was locked, eating up the brake pad, ruining the rotor and so rusted it was breaking apart. The mechanic said that if it had been driven even 20 more miles, his brakes would have failed as my husband drove the beltway. My husband didn't feel it during the test drive because they had just put new brake pads on, which only took 10 days to tear them into shreds. We called the dealership and spoke to a manager named Anthony. He said he would have the general manager call us back and see what could be done for us. We have not heard a word. When I call back, I am put into voicemail or told everyone is in a meeting. In addition, there are leaks in the rear axle seals and the check engine light just came on. We paid a fair price for what we thought based on their quality inspection and testimony was a decent vehicle but couldn't be more unsatisfied with the vehicle or the dealership who has failed us miserably.

UPDATE...... Christopher, Service Director for the dealership finally retuned my call AFTER posting this review. He listened and spoke to the General Manager who decided we should see what reimbursement we could get out of the warranty package WE bought on the vehicle. He said to keep him updated and let him know if they gave us any problems as they sell alot of those warranties and would intervene if necessary. We received $329.98 out of the $1851 we had to spend on repairs within the first week of owning this "carefully inspected" vehicle. I reported this back to Christopher and waited 10 days to hear a response. He admitted that his company handled the situation unprofessionally and that "We acknowledge that the speed at which these issues arose is unacceptable and regrettable" but offered as a "good will gesture" only $250 in Safford dealership credit for future repair or maintenance and a detailing of the vehicle. He also offered a phone call or brief in person meeting which I have asked for and received no response. I understand that some issues cannot possibly be known or seen by visual inspection but the brake issue, rusted and locked up calipers I have been told by 2 reputable mechanics should have been caught. This is the repair I want full reimbursement for. It put my family's safety at risk and could have been deadly.

Kennedy was a fantastic sales person. She was super knowledgeable and put me at ease for my first time buying a new car. Everyone at the dealership was helpful and the Costco process was pain free. I’d highly recommend both Subaru as a brand and this dealership
