Car buying
I would like to commend the two staff members of the La Mesa Penske Ford, for their outstanding performance in helping me to purchase a Ford Focus there. My salesperson Jerry Miller made the process of selecting a car and having the car ready for pickup went without any stress from sales pressure. Next in line was the seemly endless paperwork that now days has to be completed, but fortunately for Penske Ford, and me they have an outstanding person in the Finance Department Karrie Hubbard. Karrie helped me though the contract and took time to explain each step in the paper trail. Thank you for the enthusiasm and it was delightful experience working with the both of you.

Liked it better when it was Drew Ford
I’ve purchased a couple dozen vehicles from drew ford over the years, I’ve purchased several from Penske, it is not the same! First you tore down a beautiful old showroom and office and replaced it with a bland non functional one ( that’s ugly) your management is impersonal , and buying cars there is a pain in the xxx. F and I department buried in a tiny office in the second floor, so many rules and regulations your poor sales people need a directory . It should be fun to buy a new or used car, not at Penske Ford in La Mesa. The sales person was helpful and friendly, and hendered by a monolithic system. In other words , it takes to long!!! I worked for a Ford dealership many years ago, wow, you have changed and screwed it up really good. I’ve sent dozens of customers to Drew Ford over the years, can’t say that anymore🙁

my experience at Penske Ford was awesome the sales gentleman Shan along with the sales manager and the gentleman that did our contract papers in the business office was extremely friendly all three gentlemen were awesome. I will highly recommend you guys to friends and family 😀

EXCELLENT SERVICE
The routine maintenance was accomplished on schedule and met the estimate..Comfortable waiting room. Initial contact was on the minute of my appointment. Hope all future appointments are as hassle free and on time.

Oil Change and Service Engine Soon warning light
All was fixed in record time, that is, took truck in at about 8am, driving home at noon. Sure nice that they have the knowledge and equipment to diagnose and fix problems using quality parts. Wouldn't take my 2003 F150 anywhere else. * Unfortunately, that Sevice Engine light was diagnosed as stuck Thermostat which caused Fouled Plugs... After repairs, I noticed my truck was quite 'zippy' off the line... * Thanks to Miguel Guadian my Service Rep - takes good care of me.

Straight to the point
I’ve never been a fan of visiting dealerships, but the guys at Penske ford did not waste my time and made buying extremely easy. The salesman, Robert Lesniak and managers were a huge help and knew every question I had about the vehicles I looked at. I left with no question that I received a good deal and have complete comfort in knowing my vehicle will be taken care of in the future, if need be. Thanks to the Penske ford crew!

New Battery and Oil Change
I needed a new battery. I went to Costco, and realized it was a tough install. They suggested the dealer. I went to Penske, La Mesa. John Beck said "no problem" although I would have to leave it overnight. I received a call the next morning letting me know some filters needed replacing. I agreed. An hour or two later I recieved another call letting me know the battery was in, the oil changed, and the car was washed, and it was ready to be picked up. The battery price was very comparable to Costco and the install fee was nominal. I am totally happy with the service provided by Penske and John Beck.

Turned in vehicle for service, my service rep Jorge Isabel informed me technicians needed more time. within 10 minutes of waiting he set me with a rental ad insured i made my kid pickup duties at school were fullfilled. thank you

Review 3.1.2019
I brought my 2015 Explorer to the Penske Ford La Mesa dealership to have a recall taken care of. I was met by Jorge Isabal, the Assistant Service Manager. There was no waiting, and while there I was able to get the intake and fuel injector system cleaned and serviced. This was done while I waited in the Customer Lounge for maybe a couple of hours at most. everything was taken care of, and it was an enjoyable experience.
