I purchased a vehicle from Sterling Autoplex on July 3, 2026, as my daughter’s 16th birthday gift. Before purchasing, I made it clear that the A/C had to be properly repaired—not temporarily patched—as a condition of the deal. I left the vehicle with the dealership until July 8 for the repair and was told it had been fixed. I was never contacted when it was ready; I had to call them. Because the vehicle was a birthday surprise, I arranged through Caden for it to be delivered to my workplace and stored securely until her birthday. Instead, despite providing specific instructions, it was delivered to my home, nearly ruining the surprise. On August 12, I drove the vehicle to a friend’s house to stage it for the birthday. During that drive, I tested the A/C and discovered it was not working. I immediately contacted Caden and have retained the text communications documenting the issue. I also requested documentation/receipts for the A/C work that was supposedly performed. I never received them. Caden continued insisting the A/C had been fixed. If so, the vehicle must have somehow been damaged after the repair, including potentially during delivery. However, on August 24—10 days after my daughter’s birthday—I was still being told they were trying to find a mechanic. Caden stated, “I am actively trying to get you worked in,” and asked for patience. Another employee told me they were waiting for a mechanic and did not have the equipment needed to check for leaks. This raises serious concerns about whether the A/C was ever properly diagnosed or repaired in the first place. I have been more than patient. I am not asking for another temporary fix. I expect Sterling Autoplex to honor the agreement made at the time of sale and properly repair the A/C at no cost to me, provide documentation of the diagnosis and work performed, and confirm that the system is fully functional. I purchased this vehicle in good faith and fulfilled my part of the agreement. I expect Sterling Autoplex to do the same.
