Every step of the process was excellent -- making the appointment, determining what possibly optional services needed to be taken now, needed services completed in a timely fashion, having "BMW Genius" correct problem and fully explain aspects of Connected Drive to me, and attention to detail provided by Ina including personally picking me up at Van Dorn Metro when shuttle drivers were not available. Although Rockville BMW dealership is about the same distance from my home in DC as the Alexandria dealership, I will definitely continue to bring my car to Alexandria.

Worst service ever! Nothing was done and you had the car for seven hours, Hearing from a rude service advisor was the bottom.

Needs significant improvement- I had a 7am appointment
Needs significant improvement- I had a 7am appointment for an oil change. I didn’t get checked in until 7:45am. I opted to take the shuttle home rather than wait in the lobby (no loaners available), which meant I was lower priority. I received zero communication until the car was finally ready around 5pm! Also, apparently the service agent quoted me the wrong price. When I asked about the price difference at check out, the manager informed me of the error but was kind enough to waive the charges altogether. I appreciate the gesture, but am still hesitant to return.

I recently visited BMW of Alexandria for a state
I recently visited BMW of Alexandria for a state inspection, aesthetic maintenance, and an electrical issue covered under warranty for my 5 Series. While the service team addressed the initial concerns, my experience was mixed and left room for improvement. Upon dropping off my vehicle, I was initially given a 2 Series loaner, which was not comparable to my 5 Series. After raising this concern, the staff provided a much more suitable loaner vehicle, and I appreciate their effort to rectify the situation. However, when I picked up my car, I discovered a new issue: the AC unit was no longer functioning. This was disappointing, as I would expect a thorough check of critical systems before returning the vehicle. Now, I’m faced with the inconvenience of scheduling another drop-off and pickup, which adds unnecessary hassle to the process. Additionally, I’ve been trying to schedule a test drive for a new SUV for my wife for the past two weeks. The sales department’s communication has been inconsistent, making it difficult to move forward with this purchase. While I appreciate the service team’s effort to provide a comparable loaner after my complaint, the oversight with the AC and the lack of responsiveness from the sales team have been frustrating. I hope BMW of Alexandria can address these issues to improve the overall customer experience.
