The Tech went ABOVE and Beyond!
My husband brought our car here for service due to the check engine light being on for the second time in one month. When we picked up our vehicle at 6:55 p.m., we heard a noise in the left front wheel. We immediately turned around and asked for the technician to look at the noise. Although it was well after closing time, approximately 7: 10 p.m., the technician gladly offered to check out the Issue and fixed It.We truly appreciate the service and the technician going above and beyond his responsibility.

Arrogant.
Arrogant. Treat you as if they were doing you a favor. Attitude and culture more of used car salesmen than a new car dealership.

Excellent detail work
I don't ever write reviews like this but I have to praise Acura of Rochester for how pleased I am with my recent experience. Just a simple wash, wax and interior cleaning was the best value ever. Price was reasonable, work was of the highest quality with great attention to detail and my car looks and smells like new. Awesome job, service team!! -Gina L

I leased both a TLX and an ILX!
I gave the rating of 5 in all categories because both Jim Perrin and Paul Liebert were knowledgeable, very friendly, and extremely efficient in helping us. My husband and I leased 2 vehicles. We went in looking for a new TLX, and needed some work done on a used TSX that we currently had. Jim Perrin worked it out so we could trade in the TSX without having to pay to have the work done, and got us into a brand new ILX for less than what we were paying for the TSX. The whole dealership, including service and Kim Simmons are top notch. We have been recommending them, and will definitely be leasing our future vehicles with Garber. Pray you never need body work or paint [FOLLOW UP]
I want to follow up regarding the body work / paint issues I had with Garber. Garber did eventually make it right, and the paint looks good. The process, obviously, was was painful, but eventually the situation was resolved satisfactorily. I understand they made some changes in their body shop to improve things. Garber did say they would do their best to make it up to me, and so this week I asked for a discount on an additional accessory and they did.

For the past four years Acura of Rochester has serviced...
For the past four years Acura of Rochester has serviced my 2002 Acura TL, and now my 2007 Acura TL. I choose dealer service for my used cars because I expect manufacturer and model specific trained technicians. I am willing to pay a little more for luxury service. The service bays are clean and well lighted, Similarly the technicians wear clean uniforms and are neat consistent with the Acura image. The service coordinators are very friendly. They remember my name, know me, even though service visits are infrequent. The service advice is solid, dependable, good in considering my vehicle and needs. The car is returned to me in spotless condition. I continue to be well satisfied with the service provided. I recommend Acura of Rochester service to other Acura owners.

Pray you never need body work or paint
I've had a horrible experience with Garber Acura's service department and body shop. I've had to take my 2013 RDX (purchased in March 2013) back four times (so far) to get a door ding on the fender fixed.The body work quality has been very, very poor. I'm surprised Garber would even try to deliver a car back to a customer with such poor paint work done ... cloudy clear coat finish, blemishes under the clear coat, dust or some type of imperfections in the paint, extra scratches from sanding on adjacent parts of the car like a door and mirror and chrome trim ... the list goes on. I also took delivery of the car with a scratch on the fender. The first attempt at a repair was poorly executed, and looked like someone took sandpaper to the bumper. They ended up replacing the whole bumper with a new one . This was a satisfactory outcome, although I'm a little annoyed that they originally tried to give me back the car in the condition it was. Iv'e tried to be patient, but I'm at my wits end. I've emailed the GM. Hopefully they can make it right. Either way it looks like I'll end up with a new car with a fender that has been sanded and repainted twice (so far), a mirror that needed repainting that wasn't damaged when I dropped the car off, and a door that had to have part of it buffed out and blended. Very frustrating and not what I expect from a luxury car brand dealership.
