We have purchased our last 2 vehicles from this dealership. No games, no “Let me talk to my manager”, no payment roulette. Darren was great! This last visit was the best of all. On-line credit application and everything was ready when we arrived.

Bait and switch on financing

I bought a used rental car and they had more than a dozen of the same make / model / year in different colors. All of them were priced the same -but- the car I purchased was the rental company's "options" / upgrade car with all the premium factory add-ons, about $8000 worth of factory options. Funny thing was that the car was listed at the same price as all the others. That's the one I purchased. Problem was doing paperwork. They gave me the interest rate for the loan they could provide and though it was a spot deal - I let them know my bank already said they would do a loan for me. The idea was to make sure they didn't try to change the percentage rate after the fact - something used car dealers in general are known to do with spot agreements. The sales person started off by trying to claim that due to my credit rating, there would be an extra "finance charge". I had brought my credit report (free one - that you can get from gov site online) showing that I was at the upper end of "excellent". He left the desk and then comes back later saying that as a "favor" (lol) they would drop the "finance charge". After already tell him that I did NOT want any add on warranties etc. the sales person came back with paperwork that had a monthly payment that just didn't make sense as it was way too high. I pointed this out and got a "Oh I included all the warranties because you really need those". I told him no again and asked for all the added extra dealership "warranties" to be removed. Second monthly payment number he provided STILL didn't add up. The amount was lower but it turns out that the salesman only removed the largest of the extra dealer "warranty" charges he was trying to tack on. Nope and back he goes again. Third time / monthly payment number is still high but not by much (extra $10 a month). Disgusted but realizing they didn't know they were selling me the one car in the group that had all those options and even with the remaining unwanted dealership add on - they were giving me a great deal. I was tired, liked the car, let the salesman know I thought they were a scammer but signed that paperwork. Moral of the story - you CAN get a decent used car from these folks with a good price (in the end I paid under the black book pricing for my car even after including interest on the loan) but do NOT trust their sales people. They will try to add things onto the purchase paperwork even after you explicitly tell then NO. They will keep doing that in the hope of sneaking something past you. Read everything and do NOT sign if you are uncertain about anything. If they are insistent or you are uncertain about anything then get full copies of the (unsigned) paperwork and walk. Then have a trusted friend - who knows what they are doing - to go through it with you until you do understand and can make an informed decision. On a positive note, I have used their repair services for another car. As it always is when using an authorized dealer repair shop, you're going to pay more. They did good work though, used real OEM parts and in my limited experience with them, did not try to pad the bill with unnecessary add-ons.

I’ve been here twice, both times I’ve been treated courteously and professionally. The building is clean and the employees friendly. Service was great and priced competitively.

Everyone and everything was professional and easy. The salesman, Phil Clark, was terrific. I was able to come in, feel comfortable, and check out the cars I wanted to. He answered all my questions and I ended up getting a car. It was a great experience and I will return.

Wonderful experience with Anthony lopenzo at Simmons Rockwell. Took the time to find us the right vehicle to fit our needs. He went above and beyond to work with us . Very friendly atmosphere and other employees we encountered were willing to help us when we waited to close the deal. Will be back!

We just drove off the lot with our new Forester and couldn’t be more pleased. Bill Cook helped us through the entire process even as we changed our minds several times! He was patient throughout it all, trying very hard to answer all our questions and concerns. We left very satisfied customers and had yet another great Simmons experience. Thank you Bill!
