I brought my 2022 Acura TLX to this dealership for a clicking noise while the vehicle is still under factory warranty. The dealer diagnosed the issue as a bad strut and refused warranty coverage, claiming the problem was caused by lowering springs installed on the vehicle. I even spoke directly with the service manager, who told me that simply adding rims to the vehicle voids the warranty. That statement is extremely concerning and misleading. Not satisfied with their diagnosis, I took the car to an independent mechanic for a second opinion. The actual problem turned out to be a failing axle — not the strut the dealership claimed. An axle is part of the powertrain and should be covered under the powertrain warranty. It is very frustrating that a dealership representing Acura would misdiagnose a vehicle that is still under warranty and then use aftermarket parts as an excuse to deny coverage. Simply installing rims or lowering springs does not automatically void a warranty, and it certainly does not justify an incorrect diagnosis. Because of this experience, I will be filing a formal complaint with Acura corporate and the appropriate consumer protection agencies regarding the misdiagnosis and denial of warranty coverage.

I only said yes to recommending this dealership to service your Acura because they do quality work that you can depend on. The major problem is when they quote your repair. It’s at least (from my experience) 2-3 times the quotes from non-dealership repair shops. My recommendation before you agree to do the repair is to get quotes from outside sources first and then discuss price with the Acura Service provider.

I only said yes to recommending this dealership to service your Acura because they do quality work that you can depend on. The major problem is when they quote your repair. We were 100 miles from home, visiting with family in LA Verne, CA for Christmas; when our 2017 Acura MDX suffered an apparent malfunction by displaying a "Transmission Problem" light - and the "D" indicator (for "Drive") was also flashing on & off ominously. This was December 26th - that day after Christmas - and I went on Google Maps to seek out Acura Dealers in the area. THOMAS ACURA was the closest (about 12 miles away in Covina. CA). So we called their Service Dept. and "Brad" answered. Altho their schedule was FULL, he heard my plight and invited me to ,"bring the car right in and let's do an inspection to figure out what's wrong". We brought the car in before noon, picked up a rental car, and drove back to LA Vernecto continue our family visit. Well, Brad called around 2PM to announce they'd resolved the problem to a faulty electronic switch, and NOT a failed transmission. He further reported he'd ordered the part and would have the car repaired by early afternoon on Saturday. Wow! I had visions of having to wait until Monday - since I was a non- scheduled, out of area guy - but NO! Brad knew I wanted to head back home on Saturday -- so he made sure the work got done promptly, prudently, and professionally. The car was delivered back to me at 1 PM on Saturday. Amazing! We were able to head fur home on schedule, and driving a car that had been restored to its safe & secure operative status! Hats off to Thomas Acura - and to service rep "Brad" - who proved that "caring & empathy" is as important as "doing the job right & on time"! God bless 'em all at Thomas Acura! They did their best to keep our Christmas "Merry & Bright" in the face of "car problems while far away from home.... Cap'n Manny

Had an amazing car buying experience at this dealership. All the staffs are polite and professional. Didn’t get one shady or negative vibes from them at all. Very straight forward with out the door price and I didn’t had to worry about any hidden fees. Thanks to Jordan Chen that helped me with the car that I bought and Raquel Figueroa for amazing finance management. Both were patient and answered all my questions. 10/10 thank you!

Always exceptional service when I go to get my car serviced at Thomas Acura. I have been coming here ever since 2017 to get my 2017 Acura RDX serviced even though I purchased the car with Cerritos Acura! I have trusted the Thomas Acura team and will continue to get my car serviced here. Jimmy H. was my long service guy for years but he no longer works here! I have gone with the next best man, Alan!! Definitely personable, trustworthy guy!! Thank you for the food recs in the area!! I will continue to keep getting my car serviced with Alan and highly recommend anyone getting service, make sure to look for his him!!

I've been going to Thomas Acura for a number of years now. I followed Simon over from another dealership in the SGV. He's been my Acura guy for over a decade now. He always gets me a fair deal on my Acura vehicles. Raquel, the finance person, is professional and courteous. At least 3 of the service guys came over with Simon and I've worked with them a long time now as well. In short, I have no reservations recommending Thomas Acura to anyone and everyone.
