I would give zero stars if I could this place it's a huge disappointment I brought my car to get my exterior door handle fixed and 2 weeks later it came... out again and today I was here and they told me if I bought the part there which I did and they told me that I have to bring the recive to prove that which I do but I dont live in town anymore please avoid this place next time my car needs service I'll take it to Honda selma instead of here really bad service
January 2018. I had approximately one month left on my current lease (Honda Civic). I had been driving by the lot constantly just waiting for a Sport Touring... Hatch to arrive in. I visited the lot one evening to see the Civic Hatchback that had arrived. I was greeted by a salesman #1, and I told him I had a month left on my lease and I wanted to look at the hatch back. I would have thought any salesman hearing that I was at the end of the Civic would have been eager to help me right away because he/she knows I am in need of a new vehicle. This guy was not eager and just let me look around. I then still looked around on the lot and the Civic Hatch they had, was parked under the awning by the glass doors you enter the dealership (service center side). It took about 10 minutes for someone to ask if I had been helped. Once salesman #2 came out, we talked about the car and I felt I expressed interest in the car, because I asked to talk numbers. After repeating myself I was surprised that I was not getting anywhere with this guy, so I left. What really upset me was this guy said they can't keep the hatches on the lot, which is a total lie, because I had been driving by for the past six months and no hatches were on the lot or on the online inventory. He also threw credit at me and made me feel that I didn't have credit because of my age. I understand I am young and I was in basic clothes, but I knew I already had an established account with Honda and I had leased my current Civic from Barber Honda; I had hoped to be a returning customer. Salesman #1 didn't even try to stop me when I was walking off. I ended up going over to Acura and I was blown away by not only the deal, by the amazing customer service. Other things worth noting, is I grew up a 'Honda Child' from 'Honda Parents' we have gone to Barber since I can remember and we are no longer taking our Accord there. Repairs that were recommended were overturned by a well-recommended Honda Authorized mechanic we now go to. Also, I have been disappointed by the the internet sales department. I had signed up for the emails I was noticing email blast emails that were incomplete and not worthy of being sent out to the masses. Also, when I was inquiring about the Civic hatch (online) and I had mentioned that I currently had a 15 Civic and I was receiving back pricing on 15 Civics... this doesn't make sense to me and it was wasting my time. The sad thing is when telling people about this recent experience, I had two other people I know that had this same poor experience. Several salesmen lost a sale and Honda lost me as a customer. Get it together Barber Honda.
I was helping an LA friend, trying to get an agreement on a car and price over the phone. As you all know... this is a no no in this business. Well it... worked out extremely well at this dealership, and Pat was great....what a square guy...very fair and reasonable. In today's world of internet knowledge, busy customers, and economic times...a person and dealership that will work with you and help the process along is like water in the desert. Thanks ! We both appreciated the experience.
Very quick to respond. They don't message you over and over. They only offer info about what you ask for. I will definitely be by sometime in the next... week to enquirer about the car we discussed.
I live in San Jose but driving 500 miles round trip to get our new 2016 Honda Pilot was worth it because of Barber Honda's competitive pricing and excellent... customer service. I worked with Matt Lopez, Barber Honda's Internet/Fleet Department Manager and he was able to beat the pricing of every Northern California Honda dealer by thousands of dollars. He was also very easy to deal with. He was very upfront and transparent with taxes, fees, and pricing and provided a hassle free experience. When I arrived at the dealership to buy the car it only took 1 hour from when I entered to when I left to complete all the paperwork and drive out of the dealership with my new Pilot! Thank you Matt and Barber Honda!
Came down with my mom to get a car and it was so fun. Donovan made us feel at home. He knew a lot about the cars and made us laugh. Very smooth and fast... proces. Would definatly recomend to a friend.
I bought a new car at another dealership in Fresno, CA in August of 2014 but I currently work in Bakersfield, CA. While I was driving to Bakersfield by... tire blew out. I went to Barbour Honda in Bakerfield CA to see if my tire was under warranty. I asked since my car was only about 2 months old if the tire was under warranty. The lady who was helping me (Erma) told me that the tires had no warranties. I had no choice but to buy a new tire costing me $200. I later contacted an authorized Michelin tire dealership and I was told that I got a "fast one" pulled on me and if I had gone to them first that I would have most likely had the tire replaced free of charge. If you have a new car and a tire goes out, do not go to Barbour Honda. First go to an authorized dealer of make for your tires. I wish I was given this option but now I am unfortunately out $200.
My husband and I were looking to buy a Minnie Van. We dealt with two different sales men that both seemed to have an attitude problem. We had a difficult... situation and they seemed like they didn't even want to help us. Every time I spoke I was given a dirty look or they would address the answer to my husband. We said over and over again that we did not want to lease a vehicle and they kept pushing that on us, they didn't seem to care about what we were looking for and I got the impression like they thought their dealership was above us. I will never go back to Honda in Bakersfield ca and will let my family and friends know about my experience there.
New or used, I buy all my cars here from Pat Mantle. He is the most sincere salesperson I have ever met. I am sure all the rest of the sales staff is... just as nice, but I feel comfortable with Pat.
Always wanted a Honda. Always hated the process of buying a car. The crew at Barber made it really easy. I was concerned about my credit but they worked... out a real good interest rate. I am soooo happy with my new car. I have had service work done here before and have always been satisfied with the results. I love that they have accommodations for young children.
