While some folks still think of it as an old cow town, this week Kansas City, 
 Mo., will turn into a new-car town as the 2018 Kansas City Auto Show rolls 
 through.

Approximately 177,000 model-year 2016 Ford Explorer SUVs and F-150 
 pickup trucks are being recalled.

Amid an investigation by regulators into cabin air quality on the Ford 
 Explorer, Ford says it will offer a free procedure for owners.

Approximately 250 model-year 2017 Ford Explorer SUVs, Taurus sedans, 
 and Police Interceptor SUVs and sedans are being recalled.

Ford predicts SUV sales will increase to 45 percent of total U.S. new vehicle 
 sales in the next five to seven years. Why? Millennials.

The Feds have upgraded a probe of exhaust fumes in Ford Explorer and 
 Police Interceptor SUVs and added two more model years.
 

A slew of SUVs have spotty headlight performance, the Insurance Institute 
 for Highway Safety said. Just two out of 37 models had top scores.
