The 2016 Ford F-150 stands alone in the half-ton pickup truck class as 
 the only one to earn the Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS.

If the last two years are any indication, the late summer months might be 
 the best time to score a good deal.

Approximately 5,300 model-year 2016 Ford F-150 pickup trucks and 
 Explorer SUVs are being recalled.

Among the industry's best-selling cars, July saw the Ford Escape and 
 Nissan Altima were replaced by the Honda Accord and Toyota RAV4.

If you had any lingering doubts that consumer tastes have shifted to 
 SUVs, August's sales figures should erase them.
