2025 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid

Hyundai is pausing production of its Kona Electric for the 2026 model year, and Kia is pulling the plug on its Niro plug-in hybrid from the U.S. market.

Kia is recalling more than 82,200 examples of its hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric Niro compact SUV over an issue with the front passenger airbag.

The Niros remain the same affordable and efficient subcompact hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs, with prices creeping up just a few hundred bucks over 2024.
