2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Mercedes-Benz is recalling more than 310,600 vehicles over a faulty driver’s door switch that may prevent the automatic parking brake from engaging.

After its last round of testing for the year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded 19 vehicles Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ status.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reports that since it started testing seat belt reminders in 2022, automakers have responded with improved ratings for model-year 2023-25 vehicles.

The 71 vehicles that qualified for the awards for 2024 is an increase of 23 over 2023, when stricter requirements began to take effect.
