Recalls in the auto industry are a common occurrence. Not up to speed? 
 Not to worry. Here are some of the most significant recalls we covered 
 from October.
Approximately 86,000 model-year 2019 Jeep Cherokee SUVs equipped with 
 2.4-liter engines are being recalled for a malfunctioning powertrain 
 controller.
Approximately 18,000 model-year 2018-19 Jeep Wrangler SUVs are being 
 recalled.
Approximately 12,800 Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep and Ram vehicles are 
 being recalled for a voltage regulator chip.
Approximately 154,000 Dodge minivans and SUVs and Jeep SUVs are 
 being recalled for rear brake caliper pistons.
Approximately 540 model-year 2018 Jeep Wrangler SUVs are being 
 recalled to replace an intermediate steering shaft.
Approximately 700 model-year 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUVs equipped with 
 all-wheel drive are being recalled for their half-shaft assemblies.
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 812,000 model-year 2012-14 Dodge 
 Charger and Chrysler 300 sedans, and model-year 2014-15 Jeep Grand 
 Cherokee SUVs.
Approximately 7,000 model-year 2018 Jeep Compass SUVs are being 
 recalled.
